Morning*Star Daycare has been open since 2000, lovingly caring for children ages birth-age 3. We create age appropriate indoor/outdoor activities and focus on fine and gross motor skills for each child. We provide infant music, movement and sensory enrichment. Each day we spend time on music (with instruments and dancing), reading, manipulatives, age appropriate art activities, and free time to explore and just have fun at play. I have degrees in early childhood and psychology, and previously taught preschool before opening Morning*Star Daycare in my home. I have current CPR/first aid certification. We are open 7:30am-5:30pm, closed all legal holidays, 5 personal days/year, the week between Christmas and New Years, and two weeks during the summer. Parents bring their own supplies: diapers, wipes, formula and food. At age one, whole milk and snacks are provided.
My philosophy for childcare is that each child deserves respect, love, kindness and the opportunity to grow in a nurturing daily routine that includes the time to succeed as well as fail, and explore interdependently with their friends and the environment around them.
