Tutor Specializing In Individualized Learning And ADHD

(14)
Do you feel like you've hit a wall that you can never seem to surmount when it comes to your studies? If you or your children are constantly struggling with academics, investing large amounts of time into schoolwork, only to get C's or lower in return, let me help! I received a B. S. in Cognitive Science at UCSD, a program in which we learned to understand the brain and learning in great depth. I have considerable experience in the management of ADHD, first and foremost my own. I developed strategies to not only handle it and get by, but succeed as well. Over time, I'll prove to you that it is not only very manageable, but that you can do way more than you thought you could. I additionally have experience tutoring people with Dyslexia, High Autism Spectrum, and helping slow learners in general, especially math. If you're tired of the same grade, the same teachers, and the same lessons, allow me to be your tutor. I've worked with little kids, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. James

James was able to instantly connect with our six year old and keep his attention for a couple of hours, through an online session. He's able to combine different learning methods and different subjects to teach more than one thing at a time. We think he's a great choice if you're looking for a tutor that can teach multiple subjects.

Hello, I am a professional educator since 2010, working with students from public, private, charter and home school settings. I am adept at assessing the cognitive development of students, and connecting with them on their level. I specialize in keeping students engaged while providing steady feedback and positive encouragement and work inclusively with students from grades K-12, accounting for learning styles, diversity and cultural needs. I have experience working with students with dyslexia/dysphasia/dyscalculia, as well as ADHD, and children on the autism spectrum. I develop curriculum and have expertise with the new common core standards in all subjects. I speak Spanish, have lived all over the world, and love connecting with people with diverse backgrounds. I hope you will reach out and I look forward to serving the needs of your learning journey!

We were lucky enough to find Stacy in August 2020 once we realized the schools would not be getting back to in person learning. Stacy started a curriculum for each of our kids (1st and 4th grade) which has not just kept them on grade level but has expanded and improved their levels. Our 1st grade daughter was a bit behind before starting with Stacy and now is fully ready to complete 1st grade and will be on track for starting 2nd grade. Our 4th grade son has excelled tremendously with Stacy. She keeps him engaged, interested and challenged. Stacy brings great knowledge and passion to her teaching and the kids respond wonderfully to that. They know that Stacy will always have some new and interesting lessons and they look forward to their time with her. I would absolutely recommend Stacy to anyone!

Dianne was a life saver we decided to homeschool our kiddos to travel and we found and Dianne. She has been such a blessing to our whole family. She helped with finding the curriculum for each of our boys. And was able to work one on one with our kids to really focus on what they needed help in. She was always on time, easy to communicate with and caring. I would love to keep her forever if we could!
