Have you ever felt like you've hit a wall that you can never seem to surmount when it comes to your studies? If you are constantly struggling with your academics, investing large amounts of time into your schoolwork, only to get C's in return. I received a B. S. in Cognitive Science at the University of California - San Diego. I have considerable experience in the management of ADHD, first and foremost my own. I have dealt with the trials of having ADHD my whole life. Over time, I'll prove to you that it is not only very manageable, but that you can do way more than you thought you could. I additionally have experience tutoring people with Dyslexia, Asperger Syndrome, and helping slow learners in general, especially math. If you're tired of the same grade, the same teachers, and the same lessons allow me to be your tutor. I've worked with little kids, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. My first session is always free. James

James has been very helpful getting our college age son back on track to success. After our son had a total burn out and dropped out, he has returned to college. James has been working with our son to help him transition successfully back into college courses. James has been able to suggest study approaches that are tailored to our son's personality and work for him. James has been very insightful in his approach to a difficult student who wants to succeed, but doesn't really have the tools necessary to just go it alone. We are very happy with the effort James has put into the tutoring sessions and the progress we see coming out of those sessions. James is very good at figuring out what will work for a student and applying that knowledge to get results. We would absolutely recommend James as a tutor/mentor.

Experienced Tutor For Grades K-12

I have tutored children of all ages and in a variety of subjects ranging from K- college level. I have taught basic reading skills through the "No Child Left Behind Act" at the elementary school level, as well as math and science at a high school level. I also worked as a tutor for 4 years in the foreign language department at my university and taught college level Spanish, Russian, and German. With all of this exposure, my experience is well rounded for children of all ages and encompasses all subjects. I, myself graduated with a Bachelor's degree - double major in Biology (focus human anatomy) and Spanish. I also double minored and those minors were in Chemistry and German, therefore I feel very comfortable tutoring children of any age in any of the basic subjects. I have also nannied part-time, as well as full time for over 10 years so am very passionate about children in general, but having two professors as parents, the love for teaching is definitely engrained in me.

Elisabeth is amazing. My daughter is a dual language student. She has struggled with her language arts (reading, writing, and spelling) and math. She had only completed half of her lessons when she only had 2 months of school to left. Elisabeth met with her an hour a day, 4 days a week. My daughter was able to complete the rest of her math lessons before the end of the year. Her confidence soared and she was so proud of herself. Elisabeth was the best and exactly the help we needed.
