About Alexandra

I'm Ali, an educator with 10 years of tutoring experience supporting students from pre-K through college and adult learners. I work across math, English/language arts, and general science, with a focus on strong foundations, clear explanations, and growth-mindset coaching. Currently serving as a Director of Family Life, I'm comfortable partnering with families, adapting to diverse learning needs, and creating a calm, motivating environment. Sessions typically include targeted skill work, organization and study strategies, and plenty of practice so wins stick. Subjects: math fundamentals through high-school coursework, reading & writing, science. My educational philosophy is that students excel when they're interested in what they're learning. To this end, I try to make my sessions fun and exciting and try to inspire interest in the subject we're working on. I've been told I'm patient, warm and compassionate and these are qualities I bring to my sessions. I hope to hear from you!
