Experienced Nanny

Responds within 5 hours
I am an experienced nanny with more than 15 years of experience, including 10 years caring for a special needs child with significant medical needs. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in English education in Thailand and working for three years as a teacher, I moved to the US and initially spent two years with a family as an au pair. I have since served as a nanny for several families in Alexandria, working with the families for several years each when their children were infants and continuing into the toddler/pre-K period. I continue to work with two families on a part-time basis, but have availability to work with a new family or nanny share on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I enjoy working with children and love helping them grow and learn. Excellent references from my former employers are available upon request.

Narin is an excellent nanny and an all around great person. She has nannied for us since our daughter was 3 months old. She cared for our daughter and one other little boy of similar age. She stayed with us until our daughter started pre-K recently. Our daughter took medication multiple times a day and Narin handled it with ease. She is wonderful with babies and little people in general. She never turns on the TV and instead engages children with books, games, and play. She took the children to the park frequently and the library. She is very trustworthy and follows parent instructions to a T. We love Narin!

Hi, my name is Jasmine and I am currently a Rehabilitation Technician at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. My dream is to one day open a Pediatric Occupational Therapy practice of my own. I absolutely love working with children and have more than 10 years of experience. Most of my experience has come from my great involvement in my baby brother's upbringing, although, I have cared for children of all ages and backgrounds. My other experience comes from years of volunteer and payed work with church ministries, therapeutic summer camp programs, a respite care for children with special needs, daycare and babysitting jobs. I am definitely a kid at heart and love creating fun and safe environments for kids to be kids, which usually means a lot of singing, obstacle courses, and crafts! I believe it's very important to encourage independence and motivate children to learn new skills through play. I am so excited to start this new journey as a nanny!

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss. Jasmine B at church over 5 years ago and have had the pleasure of working alongside her in children's church. She is such an inspiration to so many children and adults. Jasmine is highly motivated in her interaction with children and always goes over and beyond the expectations. She has a positive work ethic. She is a leader and a team player, with a lot of patience and she is beyond amazing in her talents. Jasmine has the ability and goals "to teach a child and touch a life" forever. Her ability to care and engage with children so they grow and learn as individuals has always been a priority. She will be a perfect fit wherever she goes in her career.

Caregiver (Experienced In Daycare, Nannying, And Early Childhood Education)

Updated June 2020: Looking to work with families out of my own home during the 20-21 school year/pandemic to offer additional educational help, and comfort. MUST be well socially distanced as we have at risk family members. Before moving to Arlington with my husband and our two children (Now 4&7) with the military, I worked full/part-time and occasionally for numerous families in our previous hometowns. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified. August 2015 I received my bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I love children, and I find it important that they are able to constantly learn and play. I love crafts, outside time, sports, reading to children and just positively effecting their lives. Some of my most important attributes are patience, trust, kindness, persistence, creativity, eagerness to help others learn through teaching, having fun and keeping it all together! I have a variety of references that I would be glad to share with you. I hope to meet you soon!

Stephanie is fantastic - the proverbial diamond in the rough. She is educated, super positive, compassionate, and above all, adores the children that are in her care. Stephanie looked after our 5 year old triplets over the past year and a half and it was reassuring finding someone we could trust to take excellent care of our children or when we needed a "date night." She possesses the patience of a saint and just has a passion for connecting with children on an emotional and personal level. She is very creative, full of ideas when it comes to activities and was reliable. I could always count on Stephanie, and each and every time she looked after our children, I knew they would be in good hands - and that is not easy with multiples. I highly recommend Stephanie for any family.
