Worcester JCC

633 Salisbury St, Worcester, MA

Starting at $60/day

We have open enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year!

We welcome you to visit our big, bright and welcoming Early Childhood Center at the Worcester JCC. Here, our professional educators offer children ample opportunities to learn through: intentional play, hands-on activities, meaningful conversations, child-directed lessons and open-ended curriculum. We provide a 50-week toddler program, which allows our youngest learners to discover their earliest skills, enhance verbal/language development and reach social/emotional milestones all year round. We also offer a progressive Preschool Program (3's, 4's and Pre-K), which offers children age-appropriate lessons and challenges that encourage the cognitive, physical, social/emotional and language/literacy development that they need to prepare for Kindergarten. We offer our families flexible scheduling, interim care on vacation days, early care and late care. A little more about our center... we have 3 seperate playgrounds for each age group, music classes, swimming lessons and afternoon enrichment classes. We are also a nut-free center and can be accomodating for various allergies, food-restrictions and medical issues.

Our rates heavily rely on the schedule you select for your child at our center. The preschool rates listed on this profile reflect a 7:30-5:30 day. Half-days are available, and weekly schedules can vary from Monday-Friday, Mon/Wed/Fri or Tues/Thurs. Please contact us directly for more information on our rates.

Cormier's Clubhouse

50 Midland Street, Worcester, MA

Costimate: $196/wk

Cormier's Clubhouse is a mixed age group classroom in an inviting, supportive and comforting home setting.

Early Childhood Education is the one most important part of a child's life and Cormier's Clubhouse is where their adventure begins. Children's social, emotional, intellectual and physical development are encouraged as they play with developmentally appropriate materials in a safe, nurturing, print rich home environment that is organized, clean and inviting. Children will be cherished for their uniqueness and be given the opportunity to create and learn at their own pace. All children's needs will be met on an individual basis by following their cues. Education and experience allow me to understand the varying developmental needs of each child and to be creative in the experiences that are offered in order to prepare each child's "whole self" for their future.

Cormier's Clubhouse uses aspects of the Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers & Twos, Creative Curriculum for Preschool and Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care as well as the Massachusetts Guidelines for both Infant & Toddler as well as Preschool Experiences. There is a weekly curriculum that includes individual goals and objectives for each child as well as each activity that is planned. Children are given the opportunity to explore interest areas such as the "Library," "Dramatic Play," "Construction," "Manipulative," "Science, Discovery & Math," "Creative Arts," "Writing" and the outdoors. There is also a group time that includes (but is not limited to) songs, stories, child directed discussions, calendar, weather and interactive activities such as flannel board or learning games. Children will be assessed using the age appropriate Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum, which includes the social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language developmental areas, based on anecdotal observations of their abilities. Individual portfolios will be kept for each child which will include a journal to record daily anecdotal observations, photos, and work samples.

I believe my experience in group childcare with children ages 6 weeks-kindergarten, my experience as a mother and my educational background will ensure that Cormier's Clubhouse is a safe, supportive and educational Family Child Care for children and parents alike.
