About who needs care: Looking for overnight care for my mother from Saturday 12 p.m. to Monday 12pm, My mother is a sweet lady, in the early stages of dementia. She is wanting to stay in her home so I am trying to make that possible. She enjoys chatting and watching movies and she likes to eat. She is an amazing cook, however with her declining health she sadly does not get to do that much anymore. She likes to read the paper every day. She has in home supports weekly, OT and PT. Her routine in pretty simple - she likes to sleep in (until 10amish), and we let her, after breakfast she will watch TV (Lifetime, HGTV) in her reclining lift chair almost all day. She does eat at the table with wheelchair transfer from her reclining chair - for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She goes to bed around (10pm).
About the care needs: My mother likes to eat, so a good cook is a must - she needs healthy, nutritional meals. A bubbly outgoing personality would be a good fit, she is shy sometimes. Must be patient and kind and understand that you may need to repeat yourself if my mom does not understand your request the first time. You should like to watch movies! Light housekeeping, laundry - nothing too cumbersome!
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
