Experienced Nanny Looking for Full-Time Opportunity

Avg response < 14 hrs
I am a Preschool Teacher and former K-5 Teacher Assistant. I have been around children all my life. I have two grown daughters. I earned my Early Childhood Credentials in California and I have worked in daycare centers in Hawaii, California and South Carolina. As a Preschool Teacher, I planned and implemented age appropriate activities for children ages newborn to 12 years old. While living in NC, I worked as a part-time Nanny and I assisted with care of the children on daily family life activities. I changed diapers, bathed children, prepared simple meals, drove children to/from activities, stayed overnight, helped with homework assignments, planned age appropriate activities, and took children to outings (movies, swimming, library, amusement park, playgroup, etc.). I ran errands, did grocery shopping and light housekeeping. I love children and spending quality time with them is my priority. A child's mind must be occupied with exciting and creative activities, so TV is always off.

Tina has been wonderful with my 2 girls! We have used her for years and she feels like a part of the family. My wife and I feel completely at ease when we leave the kids with her. She is punctual, very reliable, responsible, and the kids love her too! She is more than a babysitter and I can't recommend her highly enough!

Experienced And Creative Nanny With Option Of Homeschooling Or Tutoring

Avg response < 7 hrs
I have been a nanny for 10 years working with children of all ages and dispositions. I have helped home-school through 5th grade, and was a temporary substitute preschool teacher in a weekly co-op. Being the oldest of 8 children and working with larger families throughout the years, I'm comfortable caring for lots of kiddos and would be open to a nanny share. I've gained a deep understanding of and empathy for the mindsets of children, and I make it a personal mission to provide each child under my care with warmth and safety while also encouraging independence and inner strength. I believe in nurturing curiosity, creativity, and individuality, and will motivate each child to find new interests for us to dive into together, to explore what excites them and foster a love of learning, and to create a foundation for them to trust in their capabilities throughout their growth. I truly find it a privilege to participate in the lives of children! Currently available for 2-3 afternoons /week.

Sara has been our nanny for the last 5 years and is truly a part of our family. We are sad that she is moving away but are happy for her next phase in life. My children refer to her as their second mom as she truly loves my children with her whole heart. Sara is creative, fun, and amazing with children. She is always on time and an exceptional communicator. She cared for my 3rd child since he was one month old and was completely comfortable caring for a newborn and keeping him on schedule. Any family that hires Sara is more than lucky and blessed to have her. She will love and care for your child like they were her own. We love you, Sara, and will miss you every day!

I have many years of experience working with children. I came from a family of five siblings and 15 nieces and nephews. Being the oldest, I learned really fast how to care for the little ones. By the time I was 14, I could run the household, do cooking, laundry and care for my siblings. In addition to all of us, my parents kept foster children for 20+ years. I began babysitting for a family in my neighborhood in the summer I entered 8th grade. I continued to care for those children until I went away to college. I am 50-years-young, have three grown children, two daughters-in-law and one precious, little granddaughter. My two sons live away from the Nashville area, while my daughter is currently living with me as she finishes college. She also works as a nanny! I operated a licensed home daycare for more than 10 years when my children were young. I was licensed for six and had many that I kept from birth until kindergarten. I loved teaching the children their ABCs, shapes, colors, etc. We did age appropriate crafts and activities, and had loads of fun. As my children grew up, I went back to college and became a registered nurse. I worked in a hospital on a cardiac floor during those years. I relocated to the Nashville area, making my home in Hermitage about three years ago. I love spending time with my family, reading, doing crafts, traveling, and browsing thrift stores and antique malls for unique items. I absolutely love children! My daughter introduced me to about a year ago. I knew immediately I wanted to do nanny work and be involved in caring for and nurturing children again. It is my passion. I was fortunate to find a family last fall with four children to work for with the youngest being special needs. Unfortunately, they are moving in July 2013. I became a part of this family's life very quickly. They feel like family to me! I believe children are our greatest blessing in this life! I am not a big proponent of television, video games, or other electronics as a babysitter for young children. I believe children learn and grow through play and interaction with others. I love to read, sing, color, paint, and play! I also don't mind doing laundry and minor household chores and I'm a big pet lover!
