I have been a in day care for almost 4 years now. I currently am an infant teacher at New Horizon Academy. I work with children between the ages of 6 weeks to 18 months. In this time of a child's first years, we work on muscle strength, sitting up, walking, talking, self serve, communication, behaviors, social, and emotional languages. In my classroom now, our them is Animals in the Zoo. During this theme, we work on art projects related to the theme. Talk about the animals, things we see at the zoo, things you can do at the zoo, and who you may go to the zoo with. Our theme changes every month but will generally follow the same lessons. Themes such as spring, fall, summer, winter, camping, families, farm animals, babies like me, transportation, etc. My day is also spent with a lot of one on one time with the children as well, during diapers, bottles, naps, meals, reading, etc. I am willing to work with all age groups and families. I look forward to meeting you and your families!

Kristina is extremely dependable. She is on time, courteous, and polite. There have been many times where I had to leave abruptly (I'm a firefighter) that Kristina helped watch my child while my wife was at work. She's formed a relationship with my son and I enjoy being able to call her to babysit. Would definitely recommend her!!

Hello! I LOVE children and have over 25 years of professional child care experience in a variety of settings. I have a BA in Psychology with an emphasis on Child Development, and a Minor in Music and love to sing or do musical activities with children. I have experience as both a live-in and live-out Nanny, a Postpartum Doula, an Infant Care Specialist, a Substitute Teacher, and a Preschool Teacher. My nanny experiences include being a live-in nanny (during my college years) and a live-out nanny. I am comfortable and experienced with all ages of children. I also have 3 grown children of my own and I love animals as well. I have also volunteered at my church with the nursery and with the Sunday morning preschool program. I look forward to hearing from you!

A couple days after we brought our twins home from the NICU my husband and I were in desperate need of help. So desperate in fact that we hired Karen to come as a night nanny without even meeting her. We were so scared to leave our babies with anyone but as soon as she walked in we immediately relaxed. She was so professional, calming, nurturing, and clearly very experienced. She turned out to be such a huge source of help and advice for our family the first few months of their lives! She did everything from night nannying to give us a break to washing bottles to teaching us different soothing techniques and on and on. She always took the time to ask how I was doing and try to support my breastfeeding/pumping, as well! She was so sweet and good with our boys but also thoughtful and purposeful with her interactions with them. Definitely try to hire her if you need a doula/night nanny/acute daytime help or anything in between.
