I love children and that is why I love taking care of children. I have over 10 years of babysitting experience. I have watched children from 5-years of age to 14 years old. I have worked with diverse nationalities because I believe all children are special so race has never been of concern to me. Working with children has been a fulfilling and worth while experience for me. I have worked helping parents take care of their children when they have some other engagement outside of their homes, such as going to work, visiting a relative that needs their help, attending an office function or any activity that they just have to attend to but need to be able to do. Knowing they are entrusting their most precious property to some one they trust is a feeling that is very rewarding. A person has to experience this joyful labor to understand how rewarding this job can be. The good thing about babysitting is the bond that is created between the child, the parents and the babysitter. The child can play with the sitter, share his or her fears with the sitter. For example if some of their friends did something to them at school, they tell you, their babysitter who will comfort them by telling them not to worry and encourage them to tell mom and dad when they come home. It is a good experience. Babysitting rewards the babysitter especially those who are going to school full time, or who needs extra financial assistance to make ends meet. Or those who where it not for this family related job, have only this family they work for. Working and taking care of children is a passion not only a job because the love that a babysitter gives cannot be paid with money although the babysitter is paid money, but without a passion for what you offer to the children we serve, it will be hopeless. A nurse cannot work in a hospital only for money, he or she must love helping others to effectively help the sick if not the demands of the profession will frustrate that person. When a child runs to the front door to greet you when I arrive at work, wipe my tears away and makes me very happy. I love taking care of others simply put and find this work to be honorable and dignified. Sometimes by the time a sitter gets to an assignment the child is already asleep, that means the sitter has to be very attentive, be aware of everything that goes on in that house, because the sitter has to provide security for the child and family and when the parents return home, they will be happy with the work you did.
