Seeking care for my mother in her 80's. Services needed: bathing / dressing, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, light housekeeping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: support for chronic illness. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be pleasant. Retired professor has trouble speaking but comprehension is excellent. Little to no memory issues. Not very mobile except with walker and needs assistance with that. Wakes up once or twice a night. Overall she should have close to 24/7 attendance and significant amount is provided by family and daytime aides. I'm looking for someone who is patient. Looking for a live in reliable, kind and capable caregiver who would cover 4 or 5 overnights a week and a few evenings and dinners as well. Would like some consideration of providing housing as part of pay. Family and other aides cover remaining time. Negotiable household duties such as like cleaning, cooking, and laundry. Daytime aides and family are providing much of this. My father and mother have a 3 bedroom apartment, very spacious. There is plenty room for a live in to have own bedroom with shared half and full bath. My father is 91 and is very mobile, still drives and does grocery shopping and goes to church daily. He cannot take care of moms needs though.
