Traveling to this hidden wilderness lake with a local tour guide is a great way to see some of Big Bear Lake's most secret beautiful hiking areas. I will pick up your group in my Jeep and drive your group up the forest road, telling you about the plants we see along the way and the interesting history of the Big Bear Valley. Hike with Siberian Huskies through the boreal forest of Interior Alaska. After a brief tour of the homestead, we will visit the dog yard and you will meet your hiking partner. You will learn to harness your husky, and then together we will embark on a nature walk through the old growth boreal forest that surrounds the homestead. We will point out wildflowers, trees, and animals on our walk up to the top of the ridge, where vast panoramic views of the Chatanika River Valley and the White Mountains await.  We will sit on top of the ridge and enjoy a home-baked snack and a hot drink before we descend back down through the cranberry bushes and ferns to the kennel. Our 6-day Young Adventurer's Program in Washington’s Olympic National Park is designed for participants ages 11-13 who are either new or experienced backpackers. This adventure summer camp in Olympic National Park focuses on leadership and outdoor skill-building with teens camping and hiking beside high alpine lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and meadows. Entrajo Canyon combines narrow sandstone corridors, fun scrambling, wading sections, and scenic rappels into an immersive desert experience that’s approachable for beginners while still exciting for experienced adventurers. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, as the route involves moderate hiking, scrambling, and wading through water.

Kayak on TWO amazing glacial lakes! This adventure begins with a paddle across Trail Lake in Historic Moose Pass. Our guides bring this small Alaskan town’s history to life. The stories of locals like Alaska Nellie, the ghost of gold miner Al and the famed Iditarod Trail provide plenty to ponder as you paddle along the shores of Trail Lake. After a short paddle south, glide to shore for a hike along a section of the Iditarod National Historic Trail as we head up and over the ridge to the stunning, emerald waters of Grant Lake. While moderately rated in regard to the terrain, there's no denying we're in wild Alaska along this route due to the rapid growth of the vegetation in the spring and summer along the trail. The feelings while staring out across Grant Lake are hard to describe and the views are breathtaking. We'll take some time to have lunch here, then we'll set out on kayaks once again to experience this area from the water before hiking back down the trail toward Moose Pass.
