Spring Semester (Mid March-May) This fun class is for students who have taken cartooning and animation and are ready to build on a foundation of a variety of art skills. Welcome to the jungle! Explore the world of jungle habitats in this engaging 3-day art workshop inspired by tropical environments and the animals that live within them. Students will study a variety of jungle creatures and landscapes, using observation and imagination to inform their artwork. This workshop is designed for children and teens, and groups students by age to support appropriate pacing, skill development, and positive peer connection. Over the course of three projects, young artists will strengthen their drawing and painting skills while working with color, texture, pattern, and layering. Instruction is guided by the Elements of Art and Principles of Design, helping students create artwork that feels both expressive and intentional. This workshop is ideal for students who enjoy animals, nature, and creative exploration, and who are excited to build strong visual skills while working through a fun, theme-based approach. Artists must be enrolled in First Grade, Fall 2026 and have graduated Kindergarten to attend.
