I didn’t get any motivation from family, so on my own I went to any lessons I could attend and everything else was self-taught. Eventually my hard work was notice and I was offered a volunteer position to teach. After a couple months I then took an official part-time position teaching and taught hundreds of kids over the years. I’m a very patient person, but I’m also determined to improve on my skills as well as my students. I take everything into consideration when it comes to teaching so I know I’m giving the best possible lessons I can provide. Experience Teaching: 4

Orlando, FL
Years of Experience: 3 Location Options: In Studio, In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: 11 Genres: Blues, Jazz, Classical, Acoustic, RB, Gospel Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Vocal Lessons,Song Writing Lessons Overview: Hi Music Fam! My name is Imani, I am a singer, song writer, and an actress from Orlando, FL. I have been a student of music for about 20 years. My musical inspirations come from everything around us. I choose to listen to all types of music to gather a concept of creativity, while also soaking up all the love nature has to offer. My preference is to incorporate everything that we are on our journey into our music and creative contributions...this also assists with my love of fashion!! :D My teaching style is best described as creative, cooperative and challenging. I like this style because I choose to communicate with my students as though we are simply holding conversation. I want the students to continuously use critical thinking because it is imperative for them to work the required problem or exercise out on their own, while cooperatively communicating the lesson the educator. I enjoy challenging my students to teach me the lesson, because it enables them to see the material and concepts from many vantage points, and increases their level of optimism. In my lessons, you can expect to learn good communications skills, stage presence, creative problem solving... and the rest you'll just have to experience! I like to tell my students "the possibilities are endless, it's all up to you." If I had a favorite thing about teaching, it would be simply enjoying the company of another person and learning from them as they learn from me. A performance I truly enjoyed is one of my family's recurring" Family Holiday Concert on the Lake." My family and I host a free community concert every year in an effort to build and promote the creativity in our young student artists and musicians. My students love that I am funny and easy to talk to, they also find my advice to be very beneficial in their everyday lives. I primarily teach music, but I can also teach English, Science basic biology because it's so fun, basic* Video Production, and holistic health. My approach as a teacher is to expose my students to as much as possible. In this exposure process, they will learn that everything is connected to everything, from the foods we eat to the words we choose to speak. I am so happy I was able to share a piece of myself with you! Hope to meet you soon! Peace! Dylan's Music Lessons (Drum)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Orlando, FL
Years of Experience: 14 Location Options: In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: 25 Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Country, Acoustic, Christian Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Drum Lessons Overview: Music is not only the thing that I'm most passionate about, it's my craft! I've always been told that the worst things you can do with a skill are not mastering it, and not passing it on. I'm a firm believer that every person on this world is both a Student AND a Mentor, not just one or the other. I'm constantly still trying to master my craft and learning new things about playing percussion and music everyday. But i also want to continue to pass on the vast knowledge that I've learned over almost 14 years of playing, performance, and studies. A Little Bit About Me: I started playing Percussion when I was 10 years old and haven't stopped since. I first started just playing Snare Drum but then quickly moved on and started learning other instruments such as drumset, Marimba, Xylophone, and other mallet and auxiliary instruments. I performed in multiple New York State solo and full band competitions from the ages of 11-17. When in High School, I played in the Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, as well as a College Public Symphonic Orchestra in the town that I grew up in. When I was 18 years old, I joined the United States Marine Corps and served for 4 years as a Marine Musician. I graduated from the Naval School of Music after 6 months of technical music study and performance training and was stationed at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. While I was there, I performed over 500 Recruit Graduation, Retirement, and Change of Command Ceremonies as well as having traveled to over 12 different states in the U.S. to perform for veterans and and the general public. I've had the pleasure of playing gigs such as Mardi Gras parades, NFL and NCAA football games, International Military Music Festivals and Tattoos, among many others. I would love to be able to now help YOU learn how to play some of these instruments that I love and teach you about music! Formal Education: Niskayuna Central School District Grade 5-12 2012 Naval School of Music Graduate-Marine Corps Detachment Continued Formal Music Education while serving on Active Duty with the Parris Island Marine Band Private Education: Matthew Cremisio 2003-2009 Dan Gleason 2009-2011 Performing Experience: I started playing Percussion when I was 10 years old and haven't stopped since. I've had the pleasure of playing gigs such as Mardi Gras parades, NFL and NCAA football games, International Military Music Festivals and Tattoos, among many others. Experience Teaching: While at the Parris Island Marine Band, I served as the Percussion Section Leader from 2014 to 2015. This job included tasks such as teaching lessons before and after work, organizing group sectional time, preparing and setting up for rehearsals and gigs and ensuring the overall readiness of all section members for every performance. I beleive that every person, whether you think you are a teacher or not, is a teachaer. And every person is a student in the same. If you keep and open mind you will always be able to learn something which in turn can lead to you teaching someone else!

Johan's Music Lessons (Orchestral, Production)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Melbourne, FL
Location Options: In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: 20 Genres: Classical Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Orchestral Lessons,Record Engineer Produce Overview: I believe my work can be a catalyst for a healthier, vibrant, and equitable community. By giving children in underserved communities the opportunity to have these musical encounters, we are giving them hope and a means to a brighter path ahead of them. I was given these opportunities by my teachers and my mentors, and I wish to give that back to the communities I grew up in. I believe music is a universal language, a universal gift to others, which can be used to uplift spirits and uplift emotions. By teaching this, we can lift the spirits of struggling students and give them an outlet for their diminished emotions. Sometimes the best performers weren't the best in school or at a sport, but they were the best in expressing emotion through music. My work is in finding those struggling students and giving them this opportunity to learn something new: a whole new world where they can find themselves and find new and different opportunities they wouldn't have had otherwise.
