Students will embrace the concept of line to capture expression, in this step by step project. They will sharpen their drawing skills before running wild with color. Focusing on design and composition, their art will shine with this illuminating caricature of celestial bodies. Known for her sculptures and influential art gallery, Savage is responsible for educating and encouraging a generation of nationally renowned artists born out of the Harlem Renaissance. We will experiment with the tactile approach of clay by making an antelope bust. Students will expand their sculpting techniques while learning about armature support construction, troubleshooting with different approaches to balance and application. To top it all off, they will add their own lively touch by painting their masterpiece, focusing on value and form.

The Giggling Pig is a place where everyone is welcome to join in the fun and be themselves! So in celebration of MLK and our mission to inspire unique expression we’re painting these colorful "Hands of Hope". Students will practice their blending techniques as they depict the colors of the rainbow. Then, after they've learned all about ROYGBIV, they’ll experiment with mixing all those colors together to get an array of skin tones. While exploring color, we see that though there is a whole spectrum of different outcomes, they all contain parts of the same rainbow.

Students will be given an array of materials to create their love notes, exploring mediums and their imagination to express their unique vision. Best of all, they can top it off with a special message or a poem before sealing it with love for their valentine.

Welcome to Footsteps Full Day Camp at Shores! **Enrollment is included with a minimum of 3 days per week enrollment. If you are not enrolled full time, please add the drop in fee listed on the extras tab** Full Day Camp at Footsteps includes fun and educational activities. The typical day includes indoor and outdoor choices with arts & crafts, games, sports, wheels*, gardening, and activity clubs. Two healthy snacks are included each day, optional pizza lunch is available to pre-purchase under extras for $8. Otherwise, plan on bringing a healthy lunch. *Children are allowed to bring bikes, scooters, and other non-motorized wheels to ride during the day. Helmets and other safety gear must be worn, and children may only use the items they bring.

Piglet’s Playgroup is a warm and welcoming caregiver–child class designed for our youngest artists and explorers. We will take your child step by step through a painting breaking it down for all to follow. With a very loose and organic stroke everyone who can pick up a paint brush will be able to recreate their very own work of art with our staff's guidance. During the process our staff will educate everyone on technique which will help them to be able to walk away with the ability to practice at home. During each session the children will be able to break for snacks and drinks to help make their time even more fun!

HI-FIVE LITTLE BALLERS offers weekly basketball development classes for children 3-5 years old. Our program incorporates the game of basketball to help children build self-esteem, coordination, and more. The coaching staff is highly experienced when it comes to teaching tots sports. Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes. Any cancelations will be given a credit for future programs at Hi-Five, no refunds.

Each week, our littlest Broadway fans and caregivers are introduced to exciting new songs, characters, and stories as Broadway Musicals are brought to life by a team of professional teaching artists. Created by a professional performer turned early childhood development specialist, Broadway & Me's unique curriculum is both entertaining and developmentally appropriate. Treehouse Architects is a slow, intentional, six-week sculptural experience where kids ages 7–13 get to truly build. Not rush. Not copy. But design, problem-solve, and create something that feels meaningful and theirs. Over six 90-minute sessions, artists work with raw natural materials, real wood, and curated loose parts to construct a one-of-a-kind treehouse sculpture from the ground up. We start with planning and structure, move into engineering platforms and connections, and finish by bringing each treehouse world to life with paint, texture, and tiny details. This class is part art studio, part maker space, and part imaginative world-building. Kids are encouraged to try ideas, revise them, and trust their instincts. No two treehouses will look alike — and that’s exactly the point. This is one of those projects kids talk about long after it’s over…

Cantabile Choir members focus on learning to sing as an ensemble as we prepare music, including songs in foreign languages, to be performed at TCHA’s Choir Concert at the end of the semester (Friday, May 1st at 7pm). They will sing music from different genres, singing unison, 2-part, and 3-part music. Cantabile is appropriate for boys with unchanged voices.

WEEK 8 August 3 - 7 Camp Giggles The Giggling Pig World Full Day 1/2 Day AM 1/2 Day PM Step into the magical world of Giggling Pig Village! This special camp week invites your child to explore the village, meet all the characters, and discover the stories behind their personalities and how they were created. Campers will dive into creativity as they learn about character design, storytelling, and even a little entrepreneurship while bringing their own original characters to life. The fun continues with board-game making, character cards, daily projects, and an exciting village-wide competition! All campers can enter their character for a chance to have it professionally illustrated by creator Hannah Perry. Optional Giggling Pig goodie bags and signed books will also be available. These babies are on the move! Pre-crawling, Crawling, cruising, rolling, sitting, ready to explore anything and everything. We boogie down with our babies, get up and dance, give them baby massages, sing them songs, and explore new physical challenges every week through teacher-led activities on the equipment. Explore tummy time from a new perspective or on a new texture, slide down slides on soft blankets, or take a gentle ride. Play as a group and socialize with others! Sing song, learn a routine PLAY!
