Hello everyone, I'm so pleased to say my licensed Family Child Care Home is now open as of June 2014. Current ages served are 2 months through 5 1/2. Children's World of Learning is located off of Woodmen and Black Forest. Hours of operation will be Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. I have worked with children of all ages in facilities for 7+ years. I absolutely love children, and this has been my calling for as long as I can remember. As a provider it is important to me that the children in my care are safe, feel comfortable, and are learning. Therefore I created a curriculum based child care. I want every parent and child to get to know me, trust is important, and I can assure your child will be in great hands. The trainings I have are CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Universal Precautions, and 15 hour clock hours of pre-licensing. I also have an Associate's degree in Elementary Teaching. If interested, please take a look at my website or Children's World of Learning on Facebook. You may email me at lavette_cwol@yahoo.com or call (719) 646-1541 to schedule a tour. Thank you so much.

I have an ECE credential, have been a camp director, home school teacher, art teacher, Sunday school teacher and so much more. I am a work-at-home illustrator of children's books as well as other literature and art. I have a BA in Cross-Cultural Communications and a Minor In Art. I love this city and love to visit fun places here. Games, reading out loud, visiting cultural spots, hiking, going to parks are all on my agenda. I love pets, have my own van and ready to go. Or we can just stay home and chill if that is what your family needs. As my 14-year-old daughter says, "You are the coolest old mom!" I have traveled teaching art, in Israel, South Africa and all over the USA. I am going to India to teach art for a few weeks this summer, 2013. I have lived in Europe and studied German. I have been married 30 years to the same great guy. Please email me and request my resume for all the details. The reason I am seeking part time child care is to supplement our family income and to spread the love!

Hello! My name is Beth and I am a stay at home mom of 4 wonderful daughters. There ages are 3mos., 2yrs., 6yrs., and 10yrs. I love being around children and believe that it is extremely important to a child's development to interact with and teach them rather than just sitting them in front of the TV all day. I think part of the reason I enjoy being around children so much is due to being raised in my grandmother's licensed in-home daycare and helping her as much as I did. Even as I got older, I often found myself going to my grandmother's house to help her care for the children. She has been caring for children in her home since 1966 and became licensed in 1971. A typical day for us is as follows: Wake up at 5:45am, get the kids dressed and fed, take my 5yr. old to school by 8am (during school), back home by 8:20am, wash hands and have a snack, spend some time in the backyard (we often dig in the dirt with kid shovels, play with balls, blow bubbles, etc) from about 9am until 10 or 11am (weather permitting), we come inside and wash hands, I read a book to the kids, then they watch TV for a bit while I prepare lunch, eat lunch around noon, coloring/crafts/painting around 12:30 - 1pm, at 1:45pm we start to settle down for nap time, nap is at 2, we wake up around 3:30- 4pm, then we have free play for a couple of hours (toys inside, kid music, dance, etc) until about 6pm, eat dinner at about 6pm, after dinner we get ready for bed and watch a movie sometimes while enjoying a healthy snack, bed is at 8:30 - 9pm. I try to keep the kids interested by doing new activities, so the schedule does change, at times. I like to stay active and teach the kids as best as I can. I know that it takes a lot of trust to leave you little one(s) in the care of someone else. But, I can promise I will teach, play with, and love your children as my own. After all, that is what I would want for my children. Reference - available upon request Thank you for considering me as a part of your family :-) Beth Whitefield

This kind of drop-in service can help to reduce stress associated with arranging more traditional, longer-term child care options.

Typically, drop-in daycares cater to children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old, but daycares will vary depending on their facilities and requirements. When reaching out to drop-in daycares in Colorado Springs, CO, be sure to mention the age of your child or children and confirm they accept children in that range.

While drop-in daycares in Colorado Springs, CO may require a short registration process and forms to be filled out, it is usually not necessary to make a reservation ahead of time for each visit.
