Hola, I am a 4 star (TRS), accredited with NAFCC, bilingual in-home childcare, certified and registered with the state of Texas. I have been caring, guiding, and teaching children in my home for 29 years. 16 of those years were on military installations, while my husband was serving in the Army. My home was certified and regulated by the Department of the Army and Air Force.
My husband is now retired and we made San Antonio our forever home. I am no longer affiliated with the Air Force. I am up to date with my 30+ annual child care training hours and it includes First Aid and CPR. I am a mother of 3 boys. My 18 year old, youngest, is living with us. My home is a pet & smoke free environment.
I offer a fun, safe, loving, and learning environment in my home child care setting. I believe that children learn through play. I would love to have the opportunity teach your child social, cognitive, motor, learning, age appropriate development skills and independence. I will also help you with assisting your child in using the potty. I provide age appropriate (S.T.E.A M) learning activities from a curriculum that serves infants to Kinder children. I am continually taking Kindergarten Readiness classes to help prepare the children for kindergarten.
I offer a safe place for school age children to play, do their homework, and play sports. I make time to assist your child with their homework.
This is a bilingual home childcare. I do transport children to and from schools plus go on fun and educational field trips for all ages throughout the year. This may change from one year to the next. No pool field trips. I do have volunteers that help me while we are out on field trips. They have their fingerprints and background checks done with the State of Texas.
I am enrolled with the USDA program and offer healthy and nutritious snacks. I earned my Child Development Associate in 2005 and have kept it current. My home is rated a 4 star, highest level, from the Texas Rising Start program. I care for ages 12 months - 12 yrs of age. I offer full-time, part-time, hourly (space available). I would love to offer you a one on one child care setting for your child.
I am inspected by the State of Texas and the USDA program at meal times.

As a new mom, handing my baby over to someone for a whole day was the last thing I wanted to do. After the first week, my child did not want to come home with me because he loved Maria! She not only teaches the kids. She cares for them as if they were her own and it absolutely shows! She has helped our child learn so much, he amazes people everywhere we go. She's safe, fun, and loving and We're so grateful for her! We both go to work feeling absolutely confident that he is loved! If he could stay with her forever, we would not object. :)

I have 2 little girls that Maria has watched now for 6 months a 3 and 2 year old, it was very important for us to find someone trust worthy and reliable. Maria has exceeded our expectations. My two year old has learn to talk so much and my 3 year old has learn colors, shapes in Spanish along with other things. They love Maria and are always exited to go in the morning. She does various of fun and learning activities, that we get to see throughout the day with her daily pictures. I couldn't recommended anyone better that her and we will forever be grateful to her for being the best to our girls.

Maria has been watching our two children for four years...she has loved them like they were her own...takes time to teach and nurture them and ensures that her house is always clean and the food they get is always healthy!! Maria will always be part of our family and our kids adore her as do we!!! She works with our older child on schoolwork when possible and has worked with our younger daughter to help her be better than ready for kinder!!

As a first time mom, I struggled for months to find childcare that gave me peace of mind. I'm so glad we found Mrs. Maria- I trust her completely with our toddler. Mrs. Maria has been watching our 2 year old since the beginning of the year and boy, has her development taken off! Our little one is using sign language, and is speaking and understanding Spanish. Her activities are fun, engaging, and enriching. Mrs. Maria has been a huge blessing to our family!

Maria has been watching my 10 year old since he was 2 years old and my 6 year old since he was 2 months old and she is the most caring person I have ever met with the kids! My 6 year old just started Kinder this year and he is already almost fluent in Spanish as she has worked with him on his Spanish since he was a baby. My older son has severe food allergies and Maria always makes safe food for him that is homemade and he absolutely loves (more than Mom's food even!) Maria has become a part of our family and we were so luck to have found her.

Due to COVID-19, I had to move my 4 year old daughter from her usual daycare. Mrs. Maria had an extra space. My daughter has LOVED being with Ms. Maria. She has learned so much during a few short months, including a little Spanish, STEAM, handwriting, and more. We are going to miss Ms. Maria so very much. She is amazing!!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our normal daycare closed with short notice. Mrs. Maria had space available for our 1-year-old and almost 4-year-old. She has been a COMPLETE blessing! Our girls are happy and well-cared for, and they are both learning so much during their days with Mrs. Maria, including Spanish and some sign language. Mrs. Maria often provides updates and photos by text of their activities during the week. She is a fantastic care provider!

Mrs Maria provides a safe, nurturing and age appropriate academic development that helps children discover and explore in ways that makes them very happy. It's a wonderful feeling to know that your child is in good hands. We are amazed that our child out of the blue sings the ABCs, the Pledge of Alligance and Star Spangled Banner and she just turned 3 years old. I highly recommend Maria to everyone who is searching for an outstanding provider.

Maria is such a blessing! My husband and I were looking for a place where we could have peace of mind that our daughter was safe, loved and well cared for. We found that and so much more through Maria. What I love most about Maria is her ability to take every opportunity and make it a teachable moment for the kids. I also love that my daughter is learning to speak and understand Spanish. Overall, I trust Maria completely and she has become like family to us. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone, and I have! You won't find a better daycare in San Antonio!

Maria gives us peace of mind! She is genuinely kind, caring, and loving with th children. She is a teacher with not just academics but also social skills and respect. The kids play together and also learn from each other. The meals are nutritious and healthy! We are grateful to have Maria in our lives.

She is not just a babysitter or a daycare owner. She is a TEACHER. She fully understands the importance of education and not only loves our kids when we are away, but spends time pouring into their minds with imaginative play, creative crafts, sensory activities, outside play, group learning time, weekly words, colors, and focus words, daily calendar and more!
She is 100% beyond our wildest dreams of what an ideal caretaker is. Our preemies have flourished in her care and are happy, healthy, and loved! Best choice we ever made was choosing her for our children's care and daytime nurturing and play when we are away.
