At Castle Hills First Baptist Preschool, our priority is to invite each child from every background to really live in Christ. Genuine love and hugs are freely given. Laughter abounds and learning comes naturally. Each day, classes begin in circle time with prayer, Bible verses, songs of praise and pledges. We are accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International, and international organization which evaluates our programs and ensures we hold to their high standards of excellence. We are also licensed by the state of Texas.
One of our strengths as a learning center is found in the longevity of our staff. Our teachers are called of God to accomplish our mission and have many years of education and experience in early childhood education. Our Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 teachers have their BA degree.
One of our goals is to maintain a well-balanced curriculum that includes both an academic foundation and hands-on learning. We use A Beka curriculum for letters, phonics, reading readiness, numbers, writing, bible stories, and bible verses. Scripture Bites curriculum is used for additional math lessons, science activities, sensory experiences and art activities.
Each classroom is equipped with a computer and several tablets for the children to use. Computers in the classrooms are preloaded with age appropriate software. The tablets we use with our preschool students are the Nabi 2 tablets, each is preloaded with age appropriate apps.
