I have been working with seniors for 6 years now, when I decided to take my first caregiving job I never thought it would have such an impact on me. I care for the residents as if they were my own family. When asked my best quality I would say it is my compassion, I am extremely compassionate towards my work. I do every task to my full ability whether it be bathing or tidying up an area. I am very patient and enjoy learning about who I am caring for. When I am with my residents it is more than a job and I am there to be a friend. I've dealt with in many different situations and have been told I do not hesitate to jump in and do whatever is needed. I can honestly say I go above and beyond with my "work". I've become very close to many families and I think it is much better to have a strong team between caregivers and family members. I started working in a dementia facility in 2013 and now work in dementia and assisted living facility. I hope to help feel a family feel at ease!

Over the past 5 years, I have helped several friends and family members with a variety of needs. Below is a list of activities of which I've assisted: Companion / Meal Prep for Gentleman with Dementia. Light Housekeeping Errands / Grocery Shopping Companion for woman needing assistance walking Organizing and administering medications. Private duty and nursing home care. I have over 10 years exp. I also have several letters of recommendation all very positive in my Review. I am exp, reliable, flexible, I have had patients with dementia, stroke victims, Parkinson's, wound care needs. I have also been a companion for a few patients. I've managed cases for private duty care which includes: hiring staff, payroll assistance, scheduling and managing household needs. I've also case managed in nursing facilities. Pets are not a problem, I'm a non-smoker and like to cook and bake.

Have cared for a variety of patients over my career / from children to early dementia (including family members). Looking for a way to keep active in my retirement while helping care for others.

Worked at Home Instead in the past, taking care of elderly. This was prior to Mother passing of Emphysema 01/25/13 and Father who was hit and killed by an unlicensed driver 02/17/18. Would love to get back in the field again... the elderly and disabled are a passion of mine.
