I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Northwestern -- St. Paul (formally, Northwestern College) in Psychology/Marriage and Family Therapy. I then went on to work in a day treatment program. There I learned more about the special education world, and I decided that I wanted to become a special education teacher, where I could blend my experience with counseling with my desire to teach. I completed a licensure program and then received my Master's of Arts in Education from Augsburg College. I also graduated Summa Cum Laude and received scores of Excellence (top 15% of all test takers ever) on my teacher licensing tests. Before working as a teacher, I was a professional nanny for 6 years, a camp counselor for 3 summers, and a daycare teacher's assistant. Here is some of what I offer: *Healthy meals that focus on Natural, Organic, GMO-Free, Grass-fed, Pastured foods. I make homemade meals utilizing very few items that are processed. I participate in CSA's and support local farmers. *Chemical-free, safe cleaning products (such as Biokleen, Meleleuca, Norwex, Young Living, and Shaklee). *High levels of academic focus with quality preschool curriculum for kindergarten readiness *Low ratio of adult to child to give your child high levels of attention and meet their individual needs *A highly trained teacher who incorporates strategies in developing a child as a whole person focusing on social skills, academics, physical development and emotional development. *I live in a large home with a huge playroom and great separate spaces for the children to sleep and play. *The children will sleep on real beds, not mats *I offer a monthly Parents Night Out so you can always have your next date night planned ahead. *Plenty of outdoor play and activities. *We have a park 1 block down the street *I also offer opportunities to participate in an organic produce-buying club, where you get high quality produce for often cheaper than conventional prices!
