Hello, I have many years of experience with children and 4 years as a full time nanny for newborns. I love caring for children just as much as I love interacting with them, as they're so joyful and fun. A little about me: I'm a student online studying for my RN, I enjoy baking, great with animals, active with children, and very punctual. I have been CPR and First Aid Certified , although my certifications card expired last year I will be renewing it later this month. I look forward to hearing from you and I'm happy to answer any further questions! I also have an incredible list of references I'd love to provide as well as the reviews left on my profile from families I've worked with!

Where do I even begin!? Isabel is AMAZING! As a first time mom I was worried about finding great care for my son. She has put my worries to rest. She is reliable, flexible, dependable and does a phenomenal job caring for my son. She started when he was 2 months old and he is almost 7 months. We feel very fortunate to have someone as great as her. I don't worry when I leave home or have to constantly check my phone. She sends me pictures of different activities throughout the day which is so nice! She helps around the house with chores and leaves the place spotless. She helps take care of my dog too and takes her on walks sometimes. My son was born with cleft lip and palate and she has been by our side every step of the way. She will make a great nurse and she is the best nanny! I highly recommend her to any family because honestly she has become more like family than just a nanny. Thank you Isabel. -Emily

Birth to Five Early learning Center is designed to support the physical, cognitive, communication and social/emotional development for all children ages four weeks through age five. We work diligently to develop caring, supportive, respectful and responsive relationships with our children and their families.

We welcome all families to Birth to Five and accept DSHS. Birth to Five Participates in the State of Washington's Early Achievers Program and is current rated a Level 3 Program which indicates that the program has achieved a "quality level of excellence" though an on-site evaluation conducted by the University of Washington. The program also participates in the USDA Food Program. We provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack for our children.

For all children, language education and play are the major components of our program. Enough time, material and space will be provided for children to actively explore the world around them. Children will have the opportunity to use variety of art material, manipulative and housekeeping equipment. We use Mother Goose TIme Curriculum which is tied to Washington State's Early Learning Standards.

Some activities include:
- Language Development: Books, music, modeling of communication, learning new vocabulary and story time.
- Large Muscle Skills: Outdoor play, riding toys, climbing, and balls.
- Small Muscle Skills: putting things in and out of containers, coloring, stinging beads, arts and crafts, building with blocks.
- Self-Help skills: including eating, dressing and hand washing.
- Literacy Skills: books, stories, alphabet and writing games.

Infants and Waddlers (children under the age of two) will have flexible schedules which reflect each child's individual needs. They will be given individual attention including lots of time for talking. The body position of non-mobile infants and their location in their classroom will changed frequently. We will provide a safe, open space for the babies who are creeping and crawling. Infants and toddlers will be encouraged to play with a variety of safe toys. We enjoy activities that are planned to provide children with a variety of developmental experiences, the majority of which focus on learning!

At First Avenue KinderCare Learning Center we are passionate about our kids!  We believe and practice the "Whole Child" approach to early learning. We focus on all areas of development, and all curriculum is designed around the 6 Early Learning Domains: 1.Cognitive Development- This is linked to children's ability to acquire knowledge by thinking about, coming to understand, and interacting with the world around them. 2.Creative expression- This addresses children's interests in the arts and their desire and ability to express themselves creatively. 3.Executive Function- Focuses on the development of self-regulation,attention and persistence,as well as general dispositions toward learning. 4.Language and Literacy Development-  Involves children's abilities to convey their ideas, thoughts, and feelings through speaking and writing,as well as their ability to demonstrate early reading skills. 5.Physical Development and Wellness- Involves large and small muscle skills, movement concepts, strength and stamina, and awareness, attitudes, and knowledge needed to live a healthy lifestyle. 6.Social and Emotional development- Has to do with children's ability to express and regulate their feelings and develop relationships with others.  Children learn through play, it  is the "work" of children. They learn and grow from everything they see, touch or hear, and the best part of all is they are having fun doing it! It is our job to set up our environment to make the most of that.  *We have a delicious/nutritious menu that is geared towards feeding growing bodies and minds. * We have beautiful outdoor areas to see and explore. *We  have an excellent School Age program that focuses on homework, activities to challenge the minds of older children and just plain fun. *We have summer/spring camps to keep the kids busy and engaged during the times when elementary school is out.  Call us anytime to book a tour of our school!
