Since the takeover and many staff left, this place has plummeted downhill. Food for the residents is horrible, there isn't enough staff to take care of residents' needs. My husband not I were greeted by anyone when we moved by dad back in (all new staff on his wing). We came and went and not one person asked who we were or who we were going to see. I left multiple messages on door sign for nurses to call and not one ever returned my message. I also spoke to the new director of admissions who assured me the DON would call me the Friday she returned. That never happened either.
My dad slept on an air mattress for some reason and I had to leave a note for someone to fill it with air because it was sunk in the middle and my dad was sleeping in his chair.
My dad is diabetic. The man brought in his new diabetic shoes and his feet were so swollen that he couldn't get them on. Dad's hands and feet were severely swollen. My dad is supposed to have his blood sugar checked theee times a day. Not one person commented or called about the severe swelling he was experiencing.
Thank goodness a new spot opened up for him at another facility.
