The Montessori classroom is divided into six area of learning: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Cultural (History, science geography) and Creative Subject (art, music, and drama). These materials are placed on low shelves for the child to choose freely. Children are naturally drawn to what they want to work on with guidance from the teacher. These materials have built in "Control of error", so, the child can check their own work, as well as at their own pace. These materials offer the children to see abstract information in concrete way to help understand what they are working on.
