CURRICULUM

Amodestri has adopted the HighReach Learning Curriculum System, which allows children to be creative, confident thinkers. We have incorporated "theme based" lesson plans which are implemented with processes and context. Our lessonplans are based on goals, experiences, and materials needed to support the implementation of the curriculum standards in mind. Our lesson plans meet and exceed the Georgia Early Learning Standards (GELS), and will serve as one of the many reliable parent resources. <br/><br/>We are prepared to make reasonable modifications to our policies, practices, and procedures to accommodate children with special needs. Our program has the flexibility to make changes to the learning environment, planning activities, and developing strategies that build on intimate knowledge of each child's temperament, interests, culture, emerging capabilities, and preferred learning styles. We structure our early childhood education curriculum around the four key elements of development: social, emotional, physical, and intellectual. <br/><br/>Social: Your child will communicate with others verbally and non-verbally to engage the world around them. Your child will make new friends and gain the confidence, self-esteem, and negotiating skills necessary for a lifetime of healthy relationships.<br/><br/>Emotional: Your child will enjoy a safe, nurturing "home away from home" where they can learn to express themselves and understand their own unique identities. Your child will gain the comfort and confidence to forge trusting relationships, value their individuality, and have fun just being him or herself.<br/><br/>Physical: We focus on the physical health and well-being of your child so he/she grows up safe and strong. Motor-skill development, coordination, mobility, and exercise will help to ensure your child has a healthy body for a lifetime.<br/><br/>Intellectual: Our program help build brain power by supporting the development of judgment, perception, memory, reasoning, critical thinking, and language through a series of age-appropriate cognitive activities.
