Hello, My name is Erica and I am a mom to a 13-year-old son. I am currently seeking a caregiver for (currently) approx 2. 5 weeks. The hours would be from Mon-Fri 2pm-6 p.m. (2pm-2:15 is when the school bus drops my son home and 6 p.m. would be the approx time I get home from work) and rate would be $15 per hour. My son has high functioning Autism, however he's very smart, lovable, and extremely independent. The hours are just to sit with him until I get home from work, and being as he's independent, there'll be little to no work. I've hired sitters from this site before and have good experiences, so here I am again, looking for someone who will take good care of my son, who is my life. Hello! We are looking for a kind, caring, patient, responsible part time nanny for our special needs 2-year-old. He is deaf, has cochlear implants and some delays with feeding, speech and motor development but is otherwise a very happy, smart and fun little guy :). The job is mainly to play with and look after him in the mornings Monday to Friday to allow me to get some rest. Some light tidying up (i. e. dishes and cleaning up toys) would be part of the responsibilities, and it's a huge plus if you have teaching experience. Occasional weekend help may be required from time to time as well. I am looking for someone who can oversee my autistic 16yr old son's remote schooling. I work from home remotely and cannot oversee him all the time while he attends school. I need someone who can help him with breakfast around 8am, log onto school at 8:30am, assist him in online instructions, help him with lunch around noon, then stay on until he is finished around 1:15 p.m. Usually, breakfast consists of heating up something in the toaster oven. For lunch, we usually get deliveries - and we'll include your lunch. During breaks, I'd like him to be taken out to the playground or go for a walk in the neighborhood. This is M Self-Direction funded, so the caregiver will need to register, background-checked, and finger-printed in Brooklyn before qualifying. Need someone who is motivated to teach my son basic skills of living which he has been training for the past several years, such as basic cooking (warming things up in the microwave, baking frozen cookie dough, etc), cleaning his room, taking out the trash, washing dishes and doing laundry. Anyone with experience working with and teaching ASD population is a huge plus. You do not have to take on all the hours listed (so that my son gets to interact with variety of people), but the more you can do, the better.

Looking for an after-school caregiver for my 14-yr old son with Autism Spectrum (verbal, social), in Jamaica. I work in Manhattan, but he goes to high school in Fresh Meadows. We live in Briarwood. School bus drop-off is around 3:30 p.m. I will be home most nights by 7 p.m. but on Wednesdays and Fridays, I need extended hours.
