About who needs care: I am suddenly widowed & broke my leg on the ice. I had emergency surgery on 2/22. I spent 15 days in an acute rehab center. On March 12 I was moved to a sub acute rehab. I am tentatively moving to a first floor apartment on 4/16. I have immobilizer on broken leg where I am non weight bearing at least till mid May when I am re-evaluated by surgeon. I will be going home w hospital bed & drop arm commode.. I am working now on on transferring from bed to commode or chair. I would need some assistance but can do a lot of my personal care but would need for ex. someone to bring me some water to wash & clean commode make simple meals & help w shower Are any of the services covered by insurance? Thanks for your help. Would be able to pay $30/hr tops. Is there a minimum # of days/hours? I am eligible for some home care but am thinking I will need to supplement for a bit. Sincerely Donna S. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance. Preference for a caregiver who is female.

I need senior care provider with experience for my 92-year-old great aunt. She is currently living with her brother. Our care concerns are: Mobility Assistance, Toileting/Dressing, Feeding, Meal Prep, Companionship. Assistance with medication is needed. We do have a dog that will be at the house at times. He is very friendly. She does not like to do much. Mainly just sits in her chair, takes short walks Around the house and stops in the kitchen. (Loves sweets!) We are handling most housekeeping but her laundry may need to be done occasionally if there is an overnight issue. There is a chairlift to get up and downstairs and she uses a walker to ambulate. Meals are very simple, but we would request the caregiver also ensure our grandfather is offered food as well when he is home.

Seeking live-in home care near Ridley Park, PA for my father in his 80s. He is a pleasant man with all of his faculties. He is a widowed veteran and has MS. He does not walk and spends his day in an electric chair. He will need some help with transfers, bathroom, meal prep, etc. We are new at this so we are not sure how to set a schedule (negotiable) with time off, etc so we can work together on that. As part of the (negotiable) compensation, we are offering a private room, with all the house amenities (utilities, cable, wifi, etc.). Full access to kitchen, and washer dryer. House is located only a few blocks from the train station and septa bus with easy access to Philadelphia and surrounding areas. This is a non-smoking home.
