Bedbound 73-year-old woman, severe diabetic, status post broken hip and femur (prior MRSA) requires daily baths and incontinence care, empty Foley catheter, changing and washing of sheets and towels, light housekeeping of patients room only, must know how to cook (meal preparation is required when family is not home), must check blood sugars several times a day, administer insulin and oral medications daily. Patient is also on 24/7 oxygen for 02 retention. Patient also has a history of asphyxiation while eating.
