When do you need a tutor?
Music Instruction — Shirley, NY
I am a working musician, classically trained vocalist, and recording artist who enjoys sharing my love of music with others. I teach voice and general musicality for those looking to improve their technique, learn to read music, improve their musicianship, or experience new styles. In addition to music, I am also a wildlife educator and first aid/wilderness skills instructor with a great love of the outdoors and the creatures who share our planet. I believe in a well-rounded education which also includes teaching children and teens how to be good global citizens who are conscious of their effect on others and the world around them. I volunteer my time as both a NY state Critical Care EMT with my local ambulance company, and as a volunteer at both a wildlife preserve and on trails throughout the state. Children are never too young to volunteer and become a vital part of their community. Through volunteerism, they help others in need, interact with others of all backgrounds and talents, and learn valuable skills that will serve them throughout their lives. If I tutor/teach your child, regardless of the discipline, they will always be treated with respect and patience, and be encouraged to go beyond what is expected. My goal is to make lifelong learning and development a priority in their lives so that we all benefit from their future contributions.

Music Teacher — Homer, AK
I am a certified Musikgarten teacher and a music student at Chattanooga State. I am still learning how to teach, so fees for lessons will be very cheap since I will be learning as well! I can teach beginners piano, beginners-intermediate voice, beginners guitar and basic music theory. Since I am also a Musikgarten teacher I can teach your baby or toddler to develop an early ear for music. As I am experienced in this, fees will be a little higher. I can also tutor in various school subjects and basic skills (sewing, cooking, gardening etc.).

Music Lessons Available — Van Nuys, CA
I have been a full-time freelance trombone player in Southern California for nearly 20 years. Over the years I have studied with a number of fine teachers, and I have always enjoyed giving back by teaching students here and there. My students have ranged in age from grade-school to retired senior citizens. I have a nice home studio, but I can go to a student's home if that is preferred. I always try to tailor the course of instruction to what the student wants, whether that involves learning the basics of playing the instrument, or pursuing the student's interest in a certain type or aspect of music.

Musical Care For Special Needs — Nashville, TN
I truly enjoying working with individuals with special needs, especially kids and teens! I coached special Olympics basketball in college. My degree is in music and I have always been fascinated with music and the mind. From 2014-2016 I cared for a family in Green Hills. Their oldest child suffered from a brain injury. He's non-verbal, but we know that he loves music! I also cared for his 3 siblings. Four children from ages 2-7 was a handful, but very rewarding! I love using music to teach children necessary skills. If you are interested, please send me an email. Thank you!

Fun, Musical, Multilingual Sitter — Santa Fe, NM
I've babysat for many families over the years and cared for children between the ages of 1 and 15 years. I once worked for four months as a live-in nanny and housekeeper for a family with children ages 1, 4 and 6. I also worked as a camp counselor at a summer program run by the city of Seattle with children ages 5-13. There, I led Spanish classes and dance activities with the campers. I'm very creative, playful and genuinely interested in getting to know the kids I sit for. I am very easy for kids (and adults) with all kinds of personalities to relate to. People feel at ease in my presence. I am a (non-classically trained) musician and linguist. I love to improvise silly songs on the fly.
