Spanish Literacy Tutor
I began tutoring Spanish when I was a senior in high school. I worked with a freshman twice a week before school with Spanish grammar and vocabulary. While studying abroad in Valencia, Spain in the spring of 2016 I tutored English to local children and taught English in an elementary school. I practiced Spanish with the children I nannied for last summer. I also have completed my Minor in Spanish at Michigan State University. I am currently a junior at MSU and will be living in Boston this summer working weekdays at a summer camp. I would love to tutor Spanish during the evening/weekends throughout the summer. Feel free to message me with questions! :)

My name is Ava. I'm a Freshman at Berklee College of Music, where I study songwriting and music business. I'm from the San Francisco area, and babysat there all throughout high school. I primarily babysat two boys (ages 4 and 8) but also cared for a set of 7-year-old twins and their older brother, and only children quite a bit. I have a large extended family with many cousins of all ages, so I am comfortable with babies and toddlers. I have also worked with elementary and middle school aged kids in various musical settings, usually teaching or helping teachers. I love to cook, and am comfortable with and happy to cook for children with food allergies or restrictions, as I have a restricted diet too. I am also comfortable cleaning up as needed.

I occasionally leave town for the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and need someone to stop in and feed 3 cats. One cat is diabetic. Experience with testing BG or injecting insulin is ideal in case of emergency, but will likely be unnecessary as he is relatively well managed. I would instruct a care giver to perform a BG test only if they noticed strange behavior such as lethargy or lack of appetite. The cats are usually fed 3x a day (9am, 5 p.m. and 11pm). There is definitely some flexibility in the timing. I would not expect a feeding to take more than 5 minutes. Just looking for someone to pop in, make sure they look fine and put out some food. On a typical weekend away, I would most likely need someone to feed the cats at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday, and then 9 a.m. on Sunday morning.
