$10 – 30/hr
We are not just looking for a house cleaner; we are looking for a dependable and trusted house keeper who will become an important part of our family operations. We have a second baby arriving in June and extra help will be needed. Estimated 8-16 hours a week; pay to ultimately be determined based on experience and scope of work.
This person will be primarily responsible for helping with keeping our home clean, tidy, and smoothly operating. In addition to the standard protocol for housekeeping, this will include cleaning and sterilizing baby and nursing items like bottles and nursing equipment, laundry (including careful stain treatment and putting children's clothes away), organizing areas as needed, receiving or shopping for groceries, and light errands. Many tasks will be assigned, but a self-starter with an eye for detail who will take initiative to complete tasks that are not necessarily defined but need to be done is preferred. We welcome suggestions and discussion around such things.
We have two cats; must not have allergies or aversions that would preclude being around them.
Vacuum provided. Costs for other equipment and supplies needed by you and agreed upon by us will be reimbursed. (We prefer natural and low- or no-scent cleaners, for mutual benefit.)
Services Needed: Bathroom Cleaning, Furniture Treatment (occasional), Kitchen Cleaning (including wiping down cabinets and hardware), General Room Cleaning (including wiping down wainscoting and baseboards and polishing wood floors as needed), Dusting, Laundry (including stain treatment of children's clothes), Organization, Rug (spot) Cleaning. Occasional Errands and Grocery Shopping. Seasonal Outdoor Furniture Cleaning and Floor Sweeping. Cooking a plus.
We have a 2 bed, 2 bath condo in downtown Denver. There is a parking garage connected to our building. Parking costs will be subsidized.
Both parties realize there will be periods of transition and adjustment, particularly at the commencement of this employment arrangement, and each party agrees to communicate openly, honestly and frequently with the other party in order to build and maintain an effective working relationship and to advance the best interests of the household.
Be punctual. Demonstrate a positive, "can do" attitude. Demonstrate solid judgment and character. Be proactive; you should not need to be reminded of your responsibilities.
