I have 26 years of home health. I have worked with a wide spectrum of lovely people who had some set backs in their life. I have also was the main care taker for my father who had cancer. When it comes time to find a person to take care of your loved one its not easy. I am a firm believer in allowing loved ones stay in the comfort of the place they call home. Really truly love what I do. I have worked one on one with Dr & Medical Staff, PT, OT, Treatment plans. I have plenty of references. I have ran 24 hour homes and group homes. In the past I have been Director for a couple of companies who had 18 or less employees to I managed and trained. Would love to write a book on my experience I will close for now. looking forward to your call. Resume upon request back ground drug test upon request.

I cared for an elderly couple with dementia/Alzheimer's for the last year of their lives. I fed them, cleaned HIM (but not her for dignity's sake), "walk with assist", maintained sanitary conditions, changed colostomy bags, some maintenance of personal and real property, and sitting vigil until the moment of death. My next job was caring for a woman with ALS. She was in her final stages, and has since passed on. I prepared food (while she could still swallow), did enternal feedings, operated and maintained her communication and respiratory equipment, body transfers, changed bag and Foley for her catheter, medication management, liaised with hospice, and and much more. I currently with a 40-year-old ALS patient. I believe that service to others is the essence of a noble life, especially where it concerns our elders: a lifetime of hard work, endurance, and experience is worthy of respect! The hard work of our elders is the basis of everything we enjoy today.

Compassionate Career Caregiver
While I have several strong years as a CNA, I spent very little time as an RN only to step away from Nursing altogether to work on self care and to take care of a couple family members. My first 3 years as a CNA I worked for Hospice of St John in Lakewood, CO and found my passion for serving others. After hospice I began nursing school and worked for an agency that staffed me at St Anthony Central and Lutheran Hospital. I worked different units on an as needed basis, from oncology to neurology, med-surg, rehab, etc. After acquiring my RN license in 2009 I worked at Rangely Hospital for just under a year when I knew it was time to take a break. After 4 years as a chef, I found my way back to nursing by way of my grandmother who needed total care. I will mention that I plan on attending the RN refresher course in the fall 2018 and it is a part time online commitment for which I will still be available to work.

Flexible Caregiver with Excellent References
Avg response < 4 hrs
I discovered my passion for providing care nine years ago when I was asked to help someone for two weeks, and stayed for over four years. I have extensive experience with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, and those who just need help getting around to doctor's appointments, grocery store, etc. I have high energy and an upbeat attitude. I love having fun with my clients and building not only a professional relationship with them, but a personal one as well. I was born in Scotland and moved to the United States when I was 3 years old. Humor is a skill I've used to break down the hesitation of those who are reluctant to accept the extra help. I enjoy what I do and feel passionately about making my clients feel comfortable, happy, and loved. If you feel I'd be the right fit for your loved one, I'd like the opportunity to show you the wonderful care I provide!
