Denver Mother's Helpers

I currently work full-time during the week and am looking to help out a few families with occasional sitter needs (date nights, special events, weekends, etc)! Hi Denver Families! I am originally from Raleigh, NC and I've been in Denver for about 6 years now. I'd love the chance to meet some new families and help out for date nights and special occasions! Please see below for some information on my childcare history and feel free to message me with additional questions! I have been caring for children for about 15 years. I graduated with a degree in Music Technology, but I continued babysitting well through college and I still enjoy doing so now. I spent one summer as a nanny for a family of 3 children (ages 7, 8 and 6 months) and another summer as a mother's helper for 3-month-old triplets (they are in grade school now!). I began my career teaching preschool. I taught in the different private schools in Los Angeles which lead to babysitting and becoming a Nanny. After I relocated to Colorado. I worked in two Daycare centers. I came to the realization, I am more effective loving babies and teaching children in homes as a Nanny rather than in over crowded classrooms. In the 90's I was hired to care for two siblings 3-month-old girl and a 3-year-old boy long term; several preschoolers part time. During the millennia I've been a Mother's Helper/Nanny for 2 newborns; I a Nanny of 5 siblings between ages 1-13 for 2 years; I cared for a 4-month-old baby girl until she turned 2 years old; Next a family of 3 children; Currently a 3-year-old. I took Early Childhood Education classes at a private college in Los Angeles. I own and drive a Subaru. Family pets like having me around. I have a child like sense of humor kids respond to with giggles. I don't smoke. I'm looking for a part-time position.

Nanny, Denver, CO Summer 2016 Mothers helper to a 1-year-old, 3-year-old, and 5-year-old. Helped with feedings, potty training, transportation, playing with the oldest during nap-time, light tidying up, creating activities for the children. Coordinated the development of the lesson plans, which includes setting the children s playtime, reading and social interaction activities. Nanny, Stapleton, CO August 2015-May 2016 Caregiver for a 4 and 7-year-old after school. My duties include pick up and drop off, homework assistance, food preparation, and coordination of social activities. Montessori, Denver. CO April 2014-Nov. 2014 Teachers Assistant worked for ages 2-6 years old. My duties included assisting in the development and implementation of the lesson.

Before I had a family of my own, I worked for many years as a temporary/fill-in nanny through three nanny agencies; I worked for several years as the full-time nanny/mother's helper for a family with 6 children. I have raised 6 children of my own and have cared for several step-children including one with special needs. One of my college degrees is in Youth Ministry, and I have worked with elementary, middle school, and high school students in a camp setting for many years. I have a clean driving record and if I were to transport your children, I would be as careful and attentive to them as I would be with my own. I have worked most recently with several 2-3-year-olds including 24-hour care (house sitting and pet care) when parents were out of town. I am 19 years- olds currently in College in Colorado. I have been babysitting since I was 12 as a mother's helper, then 13 on I have babysat and nannied at 17. I am not CPR certified but am willing to take the course if the family would like me to. I have many experiences working with children from camp counseling, internships in preschools. I enjoy baking, do crafts, and playing with kids, and going outside to playgrounds. I wanted to be a preschool teacher but now I am trying to get my degree in social work where I would still like to work with child welfare. I started babysitting and nannying in my hometown of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, beginning as a mother's helper at a very young age.
