Hi! My names Heather, and at the ripe age of 27. I've nannied for a total of 6 years and have met some awesome families along the way. I've worked at a Montessori school for 3-7-year-olds. I did get a fun opportunity to be a personal cook for awhile too. That consisted of full dinner meals, appetizers, and treats. I have attended CPR classes for newborns to adults. (I've had my CPR renewed 4 times now) I do have my license and a car for traveling in, but I do not have car seats. Also good with pets. Please ask me about cleaning Now that's out of the way, some stuff about myself. Give me anything creative. I spend a lot of time on do it yourself crafts and puzzles. I find myself over the weekend spending hours on crazy nail arts while watching anime. I'm a huge Disney and marvel fan Two years ago I was teaching, as an aid, at Boxwood Montessori. Then I found a wonderful family I have been with for the last two years. 2 and 3 are now 3 and 5 and are off to full time school

Heather is an amazing nanny. She is kind, caring, trustworthy, honest and a genuinely good person. She has done an excellent job caring for our kids with appropriate boundaries and structure, while bringing out their best qualities. She takes them to preschool and camp, as well as the nature center, library, Smithsonian and other interesting outings. Heather is a great chef, and also does laundry and dishes. She's also great for the occasional date night.

Experienced Caretaker With Flexible Hours

Avg response < 1 hrs
I'm an aspiring speech-language pathologist with a passion for working with children. From a young age, I tapped into the role of caretaker; I've been babysitting the kids around my neighborhood since I was 12, and have worked at summer camp as a counselor since age 14. After two years, I realized I wanted to work less as a supervisor to children and more as a knowledgeable guide, so I got my WSI certification and started teaching swim lessons. I was given the opportunity to work alongside kids ages 2-13, and found that getting to work as both a mentor and a teacher was incredibly fulfilling. Now, at college, I do field-work at the local elementary school as a teacher's aide, and spend time doing rehabilitation with patients with special needs in our speech and hearing clinic. When I'm not studying in the library or logging hours in the clinic, I like to spend time reading, meticulously making mix tapes, cheering on the NY Rangers, and racing my dog up hiking trails.

Stephanie worked for our family over the summer watching our two year old son for two days a week. She was wonderful - always on time and reliable, never cancelled. Her personality was a great fit - our son loved her and still talks about her. She was proactive in keeping him engaged and safe. In a world where reliability and work ethic is hard to come by, we couldn't be happier to have had her watching our son. Hopefully she will be available in our area again once she finishes school ;)
