Seeking care for my mother in her 80s. Services needed: companionship, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, light housekeeping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be lethargic, pleasant, reserved. Mom seems tired most of the time. Doesn't interact with people very much anymore - more isolated. She does have aterial fibulation. I think she's discouraged about her need for help to do daily tasks. She's in the bathroom a lot and sometimes needs assistance changing pads or disposable underwear. I'm looking for someone who is patient. Someone that is kind, patient, not overly chatty, but does start/hold a conversation easily. Makes nutritional meals, does light housework (includes cleaning the porta potty, when needed). Is a Christian. My mom is very sweet, she doesn't go out much due to having to go to the bathroom quite often. She needs to walk daily, at least in the house. She enjoys music and watching tv. Her short-term memory is not very good. She needs to be encouraged to eat - she doesn't seem hungry very often. She tries to be as independent as she can.
