Experience the magic of Kings Bay with our unique Sunset Cruise! Departing from our private docks at the Paddletail Waterfront Lodge, you'll first join our local expert Captain for an hour dedicated to spotting manatees and other incredible wildlife, learning about this special ecosystem. The trolley ride takes about 35-40 minutes and you'll get to see our many acres and acres of tea bushes. You'll learn more about tea both from our trolley guide as well as our founder, Bill Hall, who narrates a portion of the tour over the bus sound system. The trolley also makes a stop at the greenhouse where everyone departs the trolley and gets to see up close and personal just what it takes to bring new tea bushes into the world. We’re excited to introduce our 60-minute Glow Boat Experience on Electric Boats — a romantic night date in San Diego Bay. The boats glow beautifully after dark and come equipped with a stereo system so you can enjoy music while cruising. Each boat fits up to 4 adults and 1 small child (4–5 years old), with a maximum total weight of 650 lbs. **Note: If your group of 4 is under 650 lbs and you’d like to stay on one boat, purchase 2 tickets. Join us for a 2.5-hour group boat cruise through the cherished tidal creeks of Charleston, South Carolina. This excursion includes an enlightening hour-long stop on the picturesque Morris Island, giving you the opportunity to explore its untouched beach, collect seashells, search for shark teeth, and admire the historic lighthouse. During the journey to and from the island, our naturalist captain will provide in-depth insights into the local ecosystems and historical context. Stay attentive as your captain highlights and describes the diverse wildlife you may encounter, such as Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, wading birds, pelicans, sea turtles, and more. This cruise offers a perfect blend of education, adventure, and natural beauty, ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.

Departing from downtown Anchorage, the Coastal Classic Train travels south along the rugged coastline of Turnagain Arm, with dramatic views of the Chugach Mountains plunging directly to the sea. At the end of Turnagain Arm, the tracks veer away from the road system into the backcountry wilderness – and what many consider to be the most scenic stretch of the Alaska Railroad, accessible only by train. Watch for views of massive glaciers, steep river canyons, and cascading waterfalls. The train arrives to Seward at 1115 am, allowing plenty of time to explore this charming port town – or opt to take a marine wildlife & glacier day cruise into the nearby Kenai Fjords – before departing on the return journey at 6 pm that evening, arriving back to Anchorage by 10:15 pm.

This is a wonderful alternative to an airboat ride … quiet, peaceful and surreal. It is a leisurely paddle experience with a naturalist guide who throughout the tour will be interpreting and explaining what you are seeing. It is a great learning experience in a very unique part of the Everglades. The Everglades is a vast and varied ecosystem containing the largest mangrove forest in North America. Throughout the forest are brackish "lakes" whose waters are a mix of "sweet" fresh water and salt water. They are refuges and nursery grounds for alligators, herons, egrets, stilts, ducks, wood storks, spoonbills,  otters, orchids and bromeliads and a gamut of fishes. Interconnecting these lakes are narrow, flowing tidal creeks. The mangrove forest grows to the very edge and over the tops of these creeks forming a canopy or a tunnel. The dense canopy regulates moisture and humidity allowing  to thrive. Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.
