    If you are looking to get away from the crowds, this tour is for you! Come join me on the lower Wekiva River, where we will see Florida at its most natural. In this ecosystem we will see flora and possibly wildlife including birds, turtles, otters, deer, and maybe an alligator. This river is part of the St. Johns River which is the largest river in Florida so we do have a possibility of seeing the occasional manatee also. We’ll take an hour long journey up stream, and I’ll point out all the exciting nature there is along the way, and then we’ll float back down to the launch point. (there is a max weight limit of 250lbs for the single kayaks and 450lbs for the tandem)****Please note if you need a two person tandem****My kayak tours are capped at 6 kayaks per tour, perfect for families and smaller groups!

We have many different reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different sites on the reef.     Historical Scenic Bayou Swamp Water Trail Kayak Tour

    On this kayak water trail located on the outskirts of New Orleans, we will meander through this ecosystem bayou where we will meet up with wildlife, including gators, turtles, birds and fish while heading towards Lake Pontchartrain. We will travel through three different terrains: a pine forest, cypress swamp, salt marsh into Lake Pontchartrain. Once we are at the opening of Lake Pontchartrain, if the tide is low and the waters are calm, we can wade in the waters or take a break with lunch, snacks and water and talk about the area and the wildlife. This is a slow moving paddle to stop and take photos of the wildlife, terrain we will pass and see. This tour is approximately 2 hours in length.
