Campers will paint and decorate mini pumpkins, play in pumpkin spice playdough and orange kinetic sand, and explore a sink-or-float experiment using real pumpkins and apples. We’ll taste different kinds of apples, make apple stamp art, and run through active games like pumpkin relay races and an apple balancing challenge. The day wraps up with a cozy apple snack to celebrate the season. On October 2nd, it’s time for a Monster Mash Bash! Kids will create their own silly or spooky monster crafts with googly eyes and fuzzy pipe cleaners, whip up glittery monster slime in the slime lab, and dance along to Monster Freeze Dance. We’ll have a “Feed the Monster” beanbag toss game, green ooze sensory bins, and encourage everyone to wear their silliest monster socks or headbands for extra fun. Finally, on October 3rd, we’ll wrap up with Spooky Science & Silly Spells. This is an after school film class for Mt. Bethel Elementary. During the Kids TV after school film program, kids will be trained to create and broadcast their own television show called BB TV (Bethel Buccaneer Television). Professional filmmakers will train the kids on camera shooting, lighting, film crew management and producing. Students will learn interview techniques; on camera acting, and reporting in order to produce their own segments for the television show BB TV. The kids will meet 2 days a week in order to produce show segments, to edit the segments, and to plan the segments for the next show. The production team will produce multiple shows and segments throughout the semester.
