Our musical theater program gives students the opportunity to learn from experienced performing arts professionals while working together to produce a polished, stage-ready production they can feel proud of. Throughout the rehearsal process, students build skills in singing, acting, choreography, and character development, while also gaining confidence, strengthening public speaking abilities, and learning the fundamentals of stage performance. At FD&D, we believe musical theater is about more than putting on a show — it’s about confidence-building, creativity, teamwork, and joyful self-expression. Get ready to shine! Campers will step into the spotlight as they explore music-inspired art, stage design, and bold self-expression. From designing costumes and microphones to creating album covers and performance props, this high-energy week is all about confidence, creativity, and having fun. We’ll sprinkle in some St. Patrick’s Day cheer on Tuesday with lucky, green-themed projects.

Each week, our littlest Broadway fans and caregivers are introduced to exciting new songs, characters, and stories as Broadway Musicals are brought to life by a team of professional teaching artists. Created by a professional performer turned early childhood development specialist, Broadway & Me's unique curriculum is both entertaining and developmentally appropriate. Each class incorporates activities that are designed to support your little one’s physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development.

This class is for families with children getting ready for preschool, looking for socialization and a longer more structured class. During this class we will come together for morning circle, creative activity, free play and neighborhood exploration. The morning will end with a closing circle.

Children will delight in the sound of instruments, and “singing” through musical baby talk. They'll enjoy being sung to, experiencing new sounds and the anticipation of surprise!

The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is. Our movie nights include theater games, costumes, a film-related craft, and of course… pizza (and carrot sticks)! The fun lasts about three hours, giving you enough time to go out for a nice dinner, take a stroll to The Castro, or just enjoy some time to yourself. 5:30 Drop off and free play stations: coloring, dress up, legos, beading and more! 6:00 Circle time with theater games and songs 6:15 Art project in theme of movie ~6:30 Pizza party and movie begins! ~8:15 Movie ends 8:15 – 8:30 Pick up window **Please take note of the film we will be showing and make sure the themes are suitable for your child's sensitivities** Please remember we are a nut-free studio. MOMS Club® of HEB is partnering with Gymboree Play & Music of Southlake for their first open house playdate of the year! They are a group of moms offering friendship and support to other moms in the HEB area and they would love to spend time with you and your littles! This is a come-and-go informational and play event, but everyone must have a ticket if they are bringing children 6 months -6 years: HEB members: $10 Gymboree members: Free Non-members: $15

During this week campers get to enjoy a different ceramic and slime daily. ​ We know going home we so many slimes and ceramics can be overwhelming - so we have you covered. We will also be mixing in some watercolor and acrylic projects throughout the week. From fluffy slime to glow in the dark and snow slime - we will keep the campers day filled with exciting activities!

Experience music from all around the world-- music from both past and present, near and far! From The Beatles to Bach! In Music 3, children will be able to play musical patterns like clapping, patting, tapping or stomping to a beat. Their movements are coordinated and purposeful as we practice matching lyrics to choreographed movements and explore instrumental and improvisational play.

Our five senses allow us to enjoy the world around us -- the taste of our food, the sound of music, the beauty of a sunrise, the softness of a cat's fur, and the fragrance of a rose. Children may recognize the importance of their senses, but they don't often focus on them individually. Senses send information collected to various parts of the brain. We will explore how our five senses work and why they are so important to the human experience.

We’ll teach basic fundamentals of a wide variety of sports and then assist and supervise as our campers compete in an organized and safe setting!! The house will be rocking with music playing throughout the day and a level of energy that will only be outdone by the amount of FUN being had!! Best of all, the unpredictable weather will never be a factor because we have an awesome indoor space, covered in state-of-the-art field turf!!

Where they are: Babies are just getting comfortable being out of the house and beginning to explore! What to expect in class: Our sensory baby play classes use song, movement, infant signing, puppets, fibre optics, bubbles, musical instruments and baby-sized apparatus. You’ll learn a variety of ways to play with your newest little bundle of joy. Non-mobile babies are exposed to sensory baby play, songs, and the beginnings of social play. Meet like-minded parents while our expert teachers lead you through nurturing exercises and activities that stimulate your baby’s brain development. The first stepping stone to sparking a love of learning!

Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

PLEASE NOTE: This Family Music class takes place in our small classroom. Therefore, the class size is limited to 10 children only. This class is NOT on our playscape/playfloor. If you would like your child to have play time on the equipment, please sign up for a Play class. Parents and caregivers whose children feel comfortable being dropped off are welcome to stay at Soul City and hang out while classes are taking place but it is not required. This hands-on workshop introduces students to the essential elements of technical theater. Participants will explore the behind-the-scenes work that brings a stage production to life, including set design, lighting, sound, costumes, props, and stage management. After this workshop students will understand the different aspects of technical theatre, stage terminology, production planning, and teamwork. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to collaborate, create, and explore the technical side of theater.
