We're looking for more for our crew, if you're up for the intergalactic adventure! This will happen at our smaller side studio located on 4207 24th street. This is a wonderful opportunity for our younger age friends to join a shorter camp day filled with magic! Please remember to pack a water bottle, nut-free lunch and a yummy snack (or 2!). You wanted more offerings for your older kiddos.. and we heard you! In Club Showtime 6-8 year old kiddos will get to create and rehearse their own performances with costumes, props, music, and acting. Each week will also include a craft. The perfect after-school adventure for your elementary school kiddos who can't get enough of Rabbit Hole and want to strength their love of storytelling! This teen art class is designed for teens who are ready to begin exploring their creative potential and how to start developing their own artistic voice. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. Self-Expression: Find their own voice and style as they experiment with different materials and approaches to art-making. Critique & Feedback: Receive constructive feedback from the instructor and peers in a supportive and open environment to enhance their artistic process and growth. Hi-Five Kids Fitness & Aerobics (Ages 3.5–6) Get your child moving, learning, and having fun with Hi-Five Kids Fitness & Aerobics at the Bernard Weinger JCC! This high-energy class is designed to help young children build a strong foundation of movement, coordination, balance, flexibility, and confidence through age-appropriate fitness activities, obstacle courses, aerobic games, music, and interactive challenges. For boys, this program helps develop the fundamental athletic skills needed to succeed in sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, football, and more. Through running, jumping, agility drills, and teamwork activities, children gain the confidence and physical literacy needed to enter the sports world. Talk Trekkers” Intro to Public Speaking Series (NO Prerequisites) This fun, high-energy, and highly interactive public speaking series is perfect for young speakers of all experience levels! Whether your child is a beginner or already has some public speaking experience, this 5-session, 5-class-hour course provides individualized feedback and tailored challenges to help them grow while having a blast! Students will receive class materials, including a detailed class packet, to support their learning and practice. In each lively, engaging class, students will: LEARN - Learn and improve on the fundamentals of effective public speaking and explore different styles of speaking; - Learn to reduce and manage public speaking anxiety and nervousness; - Learn to implement DAILY positive public speaking and communication habits; - Learn to structure and improve their writing skills; - Understand the differences in various types of public speaking, such as persuasive, informative, storytelling, and conversational skills. Explore the world of making your own clay creations! This class will teach you how to create several hand-built clay pieces. Students will be introduced to Kiln firing, and procedures, as well as stages of clay: Wet, Greenware, Bisqueware, and more. Each student will custom glaze each project, and have all pieces fired in our kiln.
