Back to school! This class will use slabs to make boxes and dishes for keeping things organized on your desk or table. Family day workshops are designed for parents and children to work on projects together led by an instructor. One reservation ($50) for up to four participants, an $20/person for more than four (paid day of). No experience necessary. There is no age limit, but participants under 4 years old will require much more guidance from guardian. All kids must be accompanied by a guardian. Clay and underglaze are included. Projects will be clear glazed and ready for pick up two weeks after the class.

Class Description:
This teen art class is designed for teens who are ready to begin exploring their creative potential and how to start developing their own artistic voice. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. Self-Expression: Find their own voice and style as they experiment with different materials and approaches to art-making. Critique & Feedback: Receive constructive feedback from the instructor and peers in a supportive and open environment to enhance their artistic process and growth. Utilizing our state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators, this class provides the perfect setting for students to learn the fundamentals of the sport and refine their skills without worrying about the elements. Program Highlights: We utilize the Operation 36 framework directly on our simulators. This gamified, highly engaging program provides a clear, structured pathway for students to track their progress, hit specific targets, and stay highly motivated as they learn. Comprehensive Curriculum: Golf Class covers every crucial aspect of the game. Students will receive hands-on guidance in basic swing mechanics, short-game strategies (chipping and pitching), and precise putting techniques. Broadway Stars was created by a professional performer turned child development specialist with the primary goal of helping children develop the foundational skills and technique every musical theater performer needs while giving them the opportunity to find their voice, build confidence, and do what every budding Broadway Star loves most: PERFORM! Classes are taught by a team of professional teaching artists with years of experience in the classroom and on professional stages and feature a customized curriculum designed to challenge and showcase the strengths of each young performer while helping prepare them to participate in our mainstage musical this Spring. Each week, your child will participate in acting games, choreography rehearsal, and vocal coachings as they learn scenes and songs from Broadway Musicals that they will perform onstage for family and friends at the end of the semester. Middle School Musical students get the chance to do a comprehensive audition process complete with 32 bar cut vocal audition, dance call, cold reads, and callbacks. Casting will be done traditionally with 1-2 actors playing each role. EVERY CHILD WILL BE GIVEN A ROLE IN THE SHOW. We will work together with children to make sure they have a role. that they are excited to perform! --Weeks 3-11 (Sep 21 - Nov 21): Putting It Together-- During Weeks 3-9, the cast will participate in weekly rehearsals. During these classes, we will focus on character development, blocking the show, learning choreography and music. --Weeks 12-14 (Nov 30 - Dec 19): Prepping for Opening Night-- During Weeks 12-14, the cast will begin running doing “Run Thrus” where they perform the show from start to finish. We’ll also start adding in transitions so performers know when and how to enter/exit the stage, when to get microphones, make a costume change, or pick up a prop from the prop table. These classes are VERY important and we ask that you do your best to ensure your child is at every class unless they are ill. *There will be no class on November 25 and 28* WINTER BREAK: December 21 - January 2 -Additional rehearsals may be added the early in the week of December 21 but these will be optional to accommodate families who are traveling.
