Each technique is taught through a focused lesson, followed by a project that allows students to practice and apply what they learned. Who is it for?: Our Teen Parkour Teams are focused on rigorous parkour and games in a fun and inclusive environment. We create a safe and challenging place for kids who are serious about parkour to practice and have fun with their friends and coaches. We focus on challenging our athletes to grow and succeed in parkour, movement, and life. This team is open to all genders. What do we do on this team?: This team is for the teen parkour student who wants to get better at parkour and have fun doing it. Students play games, complete obstacle courses, practice tricks and skills, goof with friends, and learn how to deal with the stresses of daily life. When is this team offered?: This team practices on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm with an Open Gym on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30. This schedule is designed to give athletes time for deep practice, open ended exploration and play, as well as coach led instruction. Longer practice times and multiple day attendance allows for better learning outcomes and more relaxed learning environments. Outdoor practice will be offered once a week, weather and daylight permitting. Field trips, team building activities, and adventures are also part of your teen’s experience! Discover Fun, Leadership, and New Skills at GrowFit Camp! At GrowFit Camp, kids aged 4-12 dive into a world of sports and games, discovering new athletic passions in a fun, supportive environment. For teens aged 13-16, our Counselors-In-Training (CIT) program offers the ultimate mix of leadership training, community service opportunities, and exciting gameplay with younger campers—all while boosting résumés with valuable experience! CITs work alongside camp counselors under the guidance of a trained coach, learning leadership skills and playing a variety of sports and games. CITs are technically campers, actively participating in all camp activities while building valuable leadership experience. The program is $30/day with limited spots available each week, requiring a full-session commitment. What to Bring: Water Bottle: Stay hydrated! Refill stations are available on-site. Shoes & Clothing: Comfortable athletic shoes and black athletic shorts or pants are required. Each CIT will receive a camp shirt to wear for the week. Food: Please pack a hearty lunch and a few snacks as CITs run around quite a bit during the day. Drop-Off: 8:30–9:00 AM at the main FRONT ENTRANCE of The Plex.
