The Middle School Digital Art class at The Atelier School of Art is a one-hour session for ages 11-13, focusing on developing digital drawing and painting skills using iPads and Procreate. Students explore advanced layering, brush techniques, shading, lighting, and character design, while also learning about composition and storytelling in digital art. Winter Semester (January-Mid March) If you’re in middle school and a fan of action, fantasy, art, or anything in that vein, then come join the Dungeons & Dragons Game & Art class! This class is a fusion of traditional art projects and social team-building games; we will be learning how to draw and sketch quickly as we act out characters in a narrative, while also creating maps, portraits, and inventory sheets to fully design and flesh out a character of our own. This class will help you learn how to build worlds, create characters, and work with others on a personal and group basis. Unleash their inner Picasso! Through a variety of styles and media, your child will explore tactile and visual artistic stimulation in our process-based art program. Drop-off Art is for children developmental ages 3-6. This registration is for an 8-week session. Child may register for Sunday 9:45-10:30 Drop-off Music and 10:30-11:15 Drop-off Art to have a combined 1.5 hour drop-off time with one class moving directly to the next.

We will study what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters. Focusing on composition, color theory, and values, this class allows students to experiment with various medium techniques, including clay, watercolor, mixed media, acrylic, and tempera. 60 minutes. Ages 4-6. THIS WEEK: This week we’re traveling to the seaside for this glorious landscape painting. With a focus on color and texture, students will discover various ways to imply depth in their art. Studying the characteristics of foreground and background, we will challenge their color mixing skills as they learn about atmospheric perspective. Dress for a mess!
