This tour is a three hour guided zipline tour, including Oahu's longest ziplines ranging from 500 feet to nearly half a mile long. Participants will explore a working agricultural farm along the tour which includes eight world class dual ziplines, two rappels, four sky bridges and a fun ATV adventure to the ridgetop. You'll also learn about Hawaii's rich history and culture all while taking in panoramic ocean and mountain views of Oahu's famous North Shore.

In this class you will learn the the basics of creating amazing fused glass pieces while also make a beautiful necklace all your own! Experience cutting glass into different shapes, layering different types of glass, and firing your unique piece. You will also get to design and string a custom beaded necklace using our a huge variety of beads that your finished fused glass pendant will prominently display on. Due to the firing process, you will not be able to take your finished pieces home right away. Classes that are available for booking at 11:00 can be pick up their finished necklaces at the end of the day (7:00 in the summer season) and classes that are available for booking at later times will need to be picked up the next day. If it will not work for you to pick up your pieces the next day, we can ship your finished piece to you for a small fee ($5.00)

This workshop is designed to equip students with the tools and strategies to help learners develop a deep conceptual understanding of fractions. We will move beyond the "part-of-a-whole" definition to explore fractions as meaningful numbers that can be compared, ordered, and used in calculations. I. Fractions as Numbers: Beyond the Part-of-a-Whole We will begin by establishing that fractions are not just parts of a whole but are numbers in their own right, each with a specific location on the number line. We will use visual tools like fraction strips and number lines to demonstrate how fractions like 1/2 or 3/4 have a definite magnitude and can be ordered just like whole numbers. We will also explore the concept of unit fractions (fractions with a numerator of 1), as they are the building blocks for all other fractions. II. Exploring Key Fraction Concepts: Equivalence and Comparison This section will focus on two critical fraction concepts: equivalence and comparison. Equivalent Fractions: Using visual tools like pattern blocks and fraction strips, we will visually demonstrate how different fractions can represent the same value. For example, we will see that 1/2 is the same size as 2/4 and 3/6. This visual understanding is key to preparing learners for fraction operations.
