Students will step into the role of young detectives, using Spanish to follow clues, describe people and places, and solve a mystery—all while gaining a glimpse into the vibrant culture and life of Mexico. Open to K–5 students of all proficiency levels, the Spanish Club makes learning come alive through fun games, interactive projects, and creative storytelling. As our detectives piece together the clues, they’ll naturally build vocabulary for colors, clothing, physical features, and more. At the end of the session, students will showcase what they’ve learned in a fun presentation revealing their final discovery! With an emphasis on sensation rather than likeness, Cézanne bridged impressionism and cubism to influence a whole new era of art. Students will implement bold color as they depict a still life of oranges. Exploring familiar techniques like form and pattern, we will expand the class's comprehension as our focus shifts from realism to expression, broadening the use of their artistic skills.

During this one day camp we will come together for a fun filled day exploring art and creativity. We will be incorporating nature and our Bernal Heights Neighborhood. Looking forward to create with you.

Each activity will encourage imagination, creativity, and exploration as children design and build their very own Dream World. It’s the perfect way to spend a no-school day—crafting, imagining, and bringing their dream ideas to life. ~Drop off starts at 9:00am. ~Pick up is 2:45pm to 3:00pm. ~No aftercare will be offered for this camp. We will learn the scale, listen to famous composers and famous piano pieces, make music with sound stories, learn musical terms, strengthen our fingers, work on proper posture and hand position, learn quarter notes and half notes, and letters C,D,E all before private music lessons begin! Melody Makers is a solid foundation for piano or private music instruction! Plus, everything is better with new friends! Classes are 1 hour long each week. 🎤 Sky Divers: Intro to Debate (Grades 2–4) Who says 2nd–4th graders can’t learn debate? This fun and high-energy 6-week class introduces young students to the basics of debate in a way that feels playful, creative, and confidence-boosting. Students learn what debate is, how to listen to others, and how to share their ideas respectfully and clearly. Throughout the course, students practice building simple arguments, learning how to organize their thoughts using a kid-friendly structure, and explaining their ideas using strong reasons. They’ll also get experience delivering both written arguments and impromptu (on-the-spot) arguments, helping them think quickly and speak confidently. Through games, partner activities, silly prompts, and guided practice, students discover that speaking up can be fun—and that their ideas matter. Each child receives plenty of encouragement and individualized feedback to help them grow as thoughtful, confident communicators!

Winter Semester (January-Mid March) Students will exercise the imagination at the Art House. This class is designed to help our young artists learn and develop fine art skills that will also help them in writing and problem solving! Your child will be drawing, painting, and sculpting. Classes also expose them to art history. They are encouraged in their self expression while also learning to follow directions. Our projects are always new and engaging as they continue to grow in their abilities. We desire to build confidence and support their strengths.
