New Orleans neighborhoods are unique and all offer a special look at Louisiana history. The tour begins with the Creole quarters. In these neighborhoods (the Old Square, Faubourg Tremé, Fauboug Marigny, etc.) French and Creole were the dominant languages until the 1950s. The tour ends in American neighborhoods (Lakeview, Carrolton, Garden District, etc.) founded in the early 19th century. The presentation of each corner of the city is dotted with anecdotes about the famous characters who once lived in the City of Creoles.
