The last ten were spent developing and teaching adult classes in property/casualty insurance. I have played piano and organ in churches around Erie, Pa, as well as in a variety of classic rock bands, since junior high school. I am now a young 63 years old. My proudest possession is a restored 1959 Hammond B3 and Leslie 122. Formal Education: Attended Gannon College (now University) in Erie, Pa. Received the CPCU certification in 1984. This similar to a CPA designation, but in Insurance rather than Accounting. Private Education: Studied under Brad Swanson (supper club and pop music), Al Davies and OBrien Kightlinger (sacred music). Performing Experience: Church organist 1965-1993. Hockey organist 1976-1994 (I was the only organist in the USA to learn the Russian National Anthem for their tour preceding the 1980 Olympic games). Played in rock bands from 1966 through the present, playing mostly classic rock and oldies. Now playing with the Rick McGuire band in Fernandina Beach, Fl. Experience Teaching: Informally taught a teenager to play well enough to join a punk band in a series of sessions over the space of one month. I also developed and taught classes in insurance for Agents, Underwriters, CSRs, and other Company employees.
