The Frances Jacobson Early Childhood Center

The Frances Jacobson Early Childhood Center (FJECC) at Temple Israel of Boston offers an innovative, high quality secular and Judaic curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment. We foster critical thinking and a love of learning through carefullycurated, joyful play in children from 1 year and 8 months to 5 years. <br/> <br/>Based on the developmental model of education, the school meets diverse needs by paying attention to each child’s interests and strengths. Our philosophy is rooted in respect, individual dignity and self-worth. FJECC teachers, many of whom have been with us 5 years or more, hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. The Outdoor Nature Classroom provides additional unique learning opportunities. <br/> <br/>FJECC is a school year program, running from September to June. Centrally located between Boston, Brookline, Jamaica Plain and Chestnut Hill, our alumni can be found at area independent schools and public schools and we are very involved in guiding families through that process.
