St. Alban's Child Enrichment

The mission of St. Alban's Child Enrichment Center is to provide courteous, convenient, comprehensive and quality services for children and families. St. Alban's was incorporated in 1949 as St. Alban's Day Nursery by concerned members of the Coconut Grove community to provide childcare to pre-school aged children of working mothers. Since its inception, St. Alban's has evolved from being a daycare to becoming a Head Start delegate agency Program of Excellence and early childhood enrichment learning center. During the 2006/2007 school year, St. Alban's provided wrap around services (education, health, nutrition, disability and social services) to over 300 families in Miami Dade County at three locations and through 10 Family Day Care Homes (FDCHs). St. Alban's expects to serve 250 families during the 2007/2008 school year.

Center based care for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years old is provided at three locations in Coconut Grove and South Miami communities. The centers are staffed by qualified personnel in a variety of disciplines to meet the needs of children. Family Day care Homes are located throughout the Little Havana, Hialeah and Westchester areas of Miami. Head Start services are offered to children free of charge who are 3 years old by September 1, 2007.
