Montessori Children's Community was founded out of profound respect for children and a devotion to educating children for a peaceful world. Our Community is committed to Montessori's approach to education and operates on the principle of freedom within limits, respect for one's self, for others and for the environment.
We offer a primary program for children ages three to six, a toddler program for children age two, as well as Field Trips, Special Events and Spanish. Our environment is filled with beautiful, carefully chosen materials that progress developmentally from concrete expressions of concepts to more abstract representations. The materials in the classroom represent a four year curriculum of work and they invite the child to explore and encourage the child to be creative.
Montessori Children's Community is recognized as a Full Member of the American Montessori Society and is registered with Illinois State Board of Education.
