We allow your child time throughout the day to play freely by themselves or with other friends. We also put older children into smaller groups for structured play experiences. We provide a year-round preschool curriculum focusing on letters, numbers, shapes, listening skills, communication skills, following directions and focus. We read stories that go along with our letter of the week or our preschool theme that week. As part of the holidays or special theme weeks, stories may be about Santa, Easter Bunny, friends, equality, acceptance, or behavior. We provide art experiences that help children follow directions, learn steps, practice their small motor skills, learn to cut, paste and be creative. Occasionally the older children get the opportunity for Cooking with Miss Jennie where they have fun helping make a snack, they will eat that day. It helps them learn to follow step by step directions, how to measure ingredients, math skills, and taking turns. We provide structured group times where we play games, have dance parties, and participate in large motor play with our indoor balance beams, etc. We have a fully gated yard and playground and try to get the kids out at least once a day, weather permitting. Above all else we try to teach the children to be respectful and show kindness, love, and acceptance to one another regardless of differences. To always try to be a good friend, take turns and share.
