Camp Lone Star
Camp Lone Star/Lutheran Outdoors Ministry of Texas (LOMT), is a mission of renewal and outreach in the midst of God's creation and among His people.
Two core values for our ministry are "intentional Christian community" and "pattern interrupt."
Intentional Christian community is built daily by quality staff, encouraged through support to committed counselors, fed through small group Bible study and worship opportunities, and modeled in daily actions and practice.
Pattern interrupt is also key as campers come to camp and find their daily routines disrupted (no TV, electronic games, or other daily distractions). Campers are plunged into God's creation and guided through different activities and recreation than they normally experience.
Our practice is to sow the seeds of spiritual awareness and renewal.
